Seeing that hologram with Bandai's OC for the first game made me wonder if it'll pull our original character save data to display Truth be told, I'm probably going to just to a cut/paste of my character since I got kind of attached to him >_>

I don't think the plot is changing history but making sure history stays unchanged, like someone goes back to in time to stop Frieza from blowing up Planet Vegeta or Androids 16 and 17 from killing Gohan and you have to stop them because their making history worse than better.
I think I've mentioned it before, but there's some stuff that really needs to be in this, and some things I'd just like to see. Must haves Proper transformations. Frieza race in particular needs customizable transformations. All of the hair styles need a super saiyan variant. I really don't want to see everyone get the same super saiyan hair. That would look terrible. Ultimates that work properly. Some of the ultimate attacks in Xenoverse simply don't work the way they're supposed to. Mira's serious bomb is a prime example. That move is entirely useless. Would be nice More races. Android, Demon, and Alien races are the only main ones left. The idea for the alien race is to cover the random alien guys you see all the time. Particularly in Frieza's army. You'd get to use all of the creation options to make an original alien guy. Instead of a racial skill, you'd get extra skill points. Fusions. I would love to see both kinds of fusion as two different features. The fusion dance would be an in-battle transformation skill. Outside of battle, you'd select a regular DB character to fuse with, then use a limited creator to choose how they look. When you fuse with them in battle, it swaps your move set with theirs. Potara Fusion would be something completely different. It can only be used once you have two max level characters. You would then sacrifice them to make a more powerful fusion character.
Ign interveiws and Screenshots on Kanzenshuu already confirmed what you spoiled. They will actually play a major role in the story in Xenoverse 2 and will interact with the new hero.

I'm just psyched the player character can go Super Saiyan 3 now Wonder if Super Saiyan Blue will eventually be an option! I also hope the other races will be able to get similar power ups besides the kaio ken.
I'd be very shocked if they don't include it. I mean, hell, the second game in a series was usually when in-match transformations got added in the previous titles Personally, I feel that each race should get some kind of power-up unique to it (I'm fine if humans and Namekians share Kaio ken honestly). The Saiyans had four in the last game (Super Saiyan 1/2 and Super Vegeta 1/2) PLUS Kaio-ken across the board. The Frieza race I can see getting one or two (added bonus if you could customize how they look too)... same with the Buu race, but that one is a little trickier... OH! Right... forgot they added the Mystic transformation too... well, whatever they do, they REALLY need to make sure transformations are balanced. I know with my Saiyan, I managed to get a combo that allowed me to stay transformed for the entire match unless I got stamina broken (revolved around a couple energy attacks followed by a beat down, finishing with the Android grab that drained ki and stamina).
