ARTICLE: MSN Messenger — Which Once Had 330 Million Users — Has Finally, Completely Died Well, it's not actually news. Because ever since Skype took over, we knew it was over. I do miss the old days though.... -connecting with classmates in school to work on a projects, assignments, and presentations -chatting with out of town family and we didn't have to pay long distance charges -coordinating missions with allies in Heavy Metal War on Seibertron.com -sending pics over Messenger that the old Hotmail's 2 Meg limit wouldn't do -watching the progression from very basic emoticons, to more detailed emoticons, to animated emoticons, to adding your own custom emoticons -being amazed when computers got better, and people were able to have video chat on Messenger Sure Skype has got comparable and some cool features, it just doesn't feel the same. What are your stories from the early days of chatting on your desktop?
Only used AIM, and Yahoo Messenger, never used MSN Messenger though since no one I knew was using it either. Same with Skype, have never used it.
Planning LAN parties, sharing stupid/funny pictures with mates, talking to girls.....good times. Farewell, MSN Messenger.
Msn was awesome, I used it every day to chat with people online, but like everyone else, we all migrated to facebook chat. I have a skype account, but all i use it for is to make phone calls, cuz its cheaper then my cell phone. 2 cents a minute.
I miss MSN Messenger, Skype sucks. It doesn't even let you know you have new emails, which to me is a huge fail on MS's part. Hoping they end up bringing back MSN or making Skype work more like MSN.
I used MSN for quite a while. A shame it's gone because there were people i talked to on there that i did not speak to anywhere else. Guess they're dead to me now.
