Good afternoon, ladies and gents. Today I present my version of how to make RTS Windcharger taller. The best part is, this modification is noninvasive; you do nothing to the original figure except add this part to it.

    Anyways, let's get to it:

    1) Here's what you'll need to start with

    1 x RTS Windcharger
    1 x Cybertron Legends Soundwave
1 pair of flush cut pliers (or whatever you like to use to clip and cut with)
1 small can of Testors 1226 flat dark aircraft gray primer

    2) Take Soundwave and break him down into his composite parts like so. This little figure is great for harvesting ball joints and sockets, so be sure to keep the leftovers!

    3) Take the head/chest area and clip the ballpoint posts as close to the body as possible so you get a nice smooth surface, as seen here. Do the same for the head so all that remains is the chest. I know the picture is a little blurry, but the chest has lots of cool detail in it and looks nice when you are done!

    4) Now, take the chest and fit it onto Windcharger. It goes on by friction and it is tight. Try to use the lines on his body as a reference, like in the picture:

    5) Now, if you put it in the right place, this is what it should look like when you push the hood down over his body. All that's left now is to paint it:

    6) This is where the primer comes in. For painting, I use regular old alligator clips attached to kebab sticks to hold my pieces while I spray. I also use short, fast sprays about 10 -12 inches from the part I am spraying. I make sure I start spraying before I hit the part and continue spraying until after I pass the part. Don't try to spray this all in one shot or it will come out thick:

    7) Here is a before and after, just so you get an idea of the height difference this modification will make:

    8) And here is what it will look like when done:

    9) I know some of you are asking, "Hey Brunkion76, can you transform him with the part in place." Sadly, this is sort of a partsformer, and I couldn't get the piece to stay on while you transform it. However, it does store in vehicle mode, again with friction:

Here is just a group shot of all my Minibots so far:

From what was revealed recently, it sounds like we will be getting a Huffer here shortly (probably Pipes too) and we know for sure there is a Gears and a Powerglide coming. I made my own Beachcomber and Powerglide though. They are happy they have a Windcharger to pal around with!

I hope this tutorial helps you guys out, as it’s just one of many different things you can do to help this little guy be more like what he should have been in the first place.
