Scales are based on a replicas size in relation to its real world counterpart. This tutorial is not meant to be taken as an exact guide to what anyone can or should build; it is only meant to give a rough outline on scale in relation to main line figures. My hope for this body of work is to offer a helpful frame of reference for most customizers looking to work with model kits in creating new Transformers figures.

1/24 scale Automobiles

The first image is just to clarify the models on display here being a Lancia Stratos and the 280Z Turbo. As seen, the Alt Viper is too wide for the 280z, but it would fit the wide body of the Stratos. The Honda Civic could fit either. This is not to suggest these are the ideal figures for such builds, but it only shows that wider Alternators will only fit within wide body and low profile exotic cars such as Lamborghinis, Ferraris, etc. Alternator figures such as the Civic, WRX, or S-2000 would fit within the shell of cars such as the 280z. The Masterpiece Seeker mold will fit within almost any 1/24 scale car once all the non-essential bits are removed. Masterpiece Hot Rod is unlikely to work on any car without an extreme wide body attachment.
