Thanks! As for the glow effects, here is how I learned (see the Ironhide photo for reference):
1. Put the base color on a palette or use a scrap piece of styrene. You don't need too much, because you'll be adding white to it;
2. Paint your base layer, in this case necron abyss by Citadel Paints;
3. Add a small amount of white to the base color and paint over the base, and leave yourself a border of the darker base color;
4. Repeat step 3 about two more times or until the desired effect is achieved.

If you need to do a lot of areas, you might want to do a shade strip on paper, styrene or a palette, so that you can come back to the different areas:
base color > base color + white > base color + white > base color + white

When you add white to the base color, some people progressively add more white, like say a drop on the second layer, two drops on the third layer, and so on.
