It is recommended that after completed that a clear coat is applied to the part. This is a precautionary measure that helps preserve the paint. You should probably do with with most of the projects you work on, but since it was omitted here, we thought we'd remind you!

Good news! The head comes completely apart.

Bad news! On mine, one of the pegs broke off. In the end, it doesn't matter because it screws back together anyways.

The result means an easy painting of the visor!

This first photo shows the pegs that broke. I don't think it is glued, but if definitely would not come free. The visor and reflector just sit on a post inside front of face:




One (1) screw releases the neck, and the other releases the back from the front of face, I needed to pry a bit to get the two halves apart:




Painting it now is definitely not as scary as doing it with the yellow inside the head; I used Testors Red Gloss:

There is hardly anything to it, except the pegs and even if you broke those the head would still fit together just fine.

With a small screwdriver, as I noticed just a small blemish which is not visible unless held it right up to your face. Unless you plan on displaying it backwards, you will never see it.

While preventing breakage is preferred, this same sort of thing happened to me quite a bit with the Alternators Impreza forearms. Since the screw is there, you can always just reassemble and be done. If you're really worried about the same area's stability, you can always use superglue things back in the areas where the broken tabs are. The small pegs are just to keep it lined up.
