so i redid RTS lugnut based off the Arado Ar 234...

wingspan gets us a measurement of 1/44 scale, putting lugnut at 26 feet.
personally i prefer using length, which puts him at 1/59 scale with a decent height of 34 feet. this also puts him in near-perfect scale with rotf bludgeon and highbrow. :)

    Generations/Thrilling 30th Megatron: 1/290 Scale
    Robot height = 122 ft, 37.4 m

I know I'm beating the dead horse here, but it really is a shame this incarnation of Megatron wasn't a voyager. At least the deluxe can tower over the cyberverse and legends figures. Regardless, glad to finally be able to contribute to this thread again after I ran out of stuff to scale.

I used wingspan here since using length with jetformers has always been iffy due to exaggerations in the sculpt.

    172 ft x 12 in = 2064 in

    7 1/8 in = 7.125 in

    2064 in/ 7.125 in = 289.68 which rounds up to 290.

To work the scale back through your calculations, 7.125 in x 306.48 = 2183.67 in, divide that by 12, you get 181.97 ft, which is bigger than the given wingspan for B2 Spirit. But, when you do it in cm (17.0975 cm x 306.48 = 5240.0418 cm which equates to 52.4 ,).

However, I think your mistake was that you listed 17.0975 cm instead of 18.0975 cm (7.124 in x 2.54 = 18.0975 cm, and after measuring the wingspan irl, it's also a little over 18 cm).

    52.4 m = 5240 cm

    5240 cm/ 18.0975 cm = 289.54, which also rounds up to 290.

I hope this clears things up. :)

How did you get the 1/290th scale? Going from the wingspan of 7 1/8 inch (17.0975 cm) of the Deluxe against the 172 feet (52.4 m) that the Wikipedia has listed for the B2 Spirits wingspan works out to 1/306.48 scale. Even using length, you end up 1/206.7 scale.

Probably better off splitting this up into separate threads.
