By Generation: Leader Megatron Claw Articulation Tutorial

    First remove the whole claw from the arm by removing this screw:

    Now remove the upper claw assembly by removing these four (4) screws:

    Now, cut the sculpted hinge free using a razorsaw for the straight cuts (red lines) and an X-ACTO knife for the more complex cuts (green lines):

    When you cut the middle part of the hinge loose, follow the outside lines of the sculpted spacers. This will evenly bisect the support struts sculpted underneath:

    Using a pin vice, drill a hole the diameter of a large paperclip through the rear sculpted hinge barrel and through both bisected sculpted support struts. Push a length of large paperclip through and cut to length:

    I filled the sculpted hinge "reservoirs" with superglue just to make it more secure:

    Now, try to rotate the claw fingers down. Note where they are binding, and carefully carve away the plastic in these areas until the claw finger rotates freely.

    Reassemble the arm.
