How to Make a Ball Joint Neck Tutorial!

Hey everyone, my ball joints arrived and I've finished the tutorial! This explains how to add a basic ball jointed neck to most Transformers. It's one of the more simple modifications in my opinion and can be done by just about anyone.

Today we're going to add a ball joint neck to a basic Transformers figure. Keep in mind this is only a guide, not follow-like-it's-law rules. Depending on your figure, the ball joints you have available, you'll need to adjust your techniques. Some techniques work well with one type of figure, another will differ. I snag my ball joints for all sorts of figures but recently I've been picking them up at HLJ.com, the Yellow Sub brand. They're not that expensive, about $4.50 a sheet, but you do have to wait a week or two because they ship from Japan. They are the best I've worked with so far and I hear the clear ball joints they sell (when in stock) are even better. I'm using the basic gray ones for this guide and they can be sanded, glued, and painted like normal plastic. Click the link below if you'd like to order some.

Yellow Sub Ball Joints at Hobby Link Japan

Ok, we ready to start? Grab your ball joints, dremel tool, your X-acto knife, some glue and epoxy, and of course your Transformers figure.

Hope this helps, enjoy!

Still... very good news. I always KNEW there had to be stuff like this you could buy... I just never knew where I could find it. Thanks Jin!!
