well i play conquest, i take the closest node and then start capturing the farthest away node, the way i see it both armies are usually gonna fight over the middle node, leaving the back node exposed. then i go back to the original node, seeing as usually someone has taken it, i do this until i notice what node is being left alone and i work to capture it, now i do not stop opponents from taking nodes, and why should i, normally each recapture of a node is worth 150+, and stopping them ain't worth points really, so this way i get the maximum amount of points. i always desguise myself and deploy a sentry when i go to capture a node, making sure to be ready for any other autobots who try and stop me. i will desguise myself and let an enemy capture a node and then take care of them and recapture the node, getting maximum points

tip:use the jetfire body, in jetmode it looks very similar to slipstream, so at a glance you are very likely not to get detected

also, sometimes the best way to capture a mode is while in jet mode and desguised, hover high enough to be able to capture, if deguised at jetfire, normally your other "decepticons" won't realize it is you taking a node and think it is an invisible scout

and always, always high tail it out of an area the second the node is captured, to ensure you survive, cause the enemy is right on your tail to get that node back

Disguise yourself always. There's nothing better than flying into a group of bots and blasting them to bits ! EMP Shotgun is probably the best weapon. Especially since it only takes a few hits to kill bots. A Sentry Gun works wonders in a match of Conquest. If you have Friendly Fire, Master Of Disguise and Rapid Recharge on, those bots on the ground wont have a chance against you. Transform if you're low on health aswell, you'll surely get away and be able to grab some health.

what i do is one fly up and hide in some debris and as some robots come into view you snipe them

If that fails drop to the ground and go invisable and sneak away get some energon and while still invisable go behind someone and whack them with your mace.

I don't hide. Disguise, as always, then fly on over, usually targeting a supporting scientist or scout as opposed to anyone stronger, then drain and use the heal ray on them for double the drain. It's a hit-and-run with the benefits of a quick kill and 3-4 'special kills' for extra experience.

Free for all, Shockwave and Sentry gun. Fly up high and wait for other people to start fighting. Give them a few seconds to whittle each other down then charge in, transform and trigger both abilities at once. Fly away and get health, rinse and repeat. I often win matches like this. Obviously go for perks that buff those abilities, and suit your play style.

I've got the DLC already, just sharing the love :)

The Shotgun/Disguise combo is pretty awesome too, but make sure you approach from behind or you're gonna get a pasting.

I haven't played with 'Drain' much. Can it affect multiple targets? Could be some mileage there.

What's the Jetfire skin called in MP? The Autobot jets are confusing :S

As a Scientist, I actually use almost everything that game allows us to use as a scientist. I use disguise to get behind enemy lines and hunt them, work with another Scientist to get kills by me deploying a sentry and him deploying a healing sentry, being the medic and healing everyone who needs it. Thats how I level up my Scientist. Also playing in Conquest mode makes it easier.

Good luck to everyone again :)

Normaly I play Conquest which gives a lot of points, and using a Scientist is very usefull in this mode.

1.) Having an altmode that is able to fly adds an advantage of speed so you can get to capture points faster.

2.) The disguise ability can help alot as well. If your at any enemy point, taking it, you can apear as an enemy helping to take it back. For example: you can start taking the point and if an enemy goes by they may mistake you for a freindly taking the flag back if they don't pay attention very well. It also gives you the advantage of time, your enemy will hesitate to notice you as an enemy for a split second... that gives you time to start lighting them up from behind if they disregard you as any enemy at first.

3.) Using the Sentry ability is a major plus in conquest because it can be like having an extra hand of defense when you're by yourself. When you go to take any enemy base, you can deploy one when you get there for assistance if your alone. I suggest applying extra armor to your sentry to give it an extra fighting chance. They can also help if you just captured a point... once you capture it, deploy a sentry to protect it for a short while. You can get easy point by killing an unexpecting passerby while your else where. A sentry is also a + if you team is outnumbered. It can help even the battlefield.

4.) The weapons I normaly use for the Scientist are the EMP Shotgun and the Burst Rifle. The EMP shotgun is very powerfull at close range and when used with Disguise, you can get close to the enemy to make sure all of the spread hits your mark. The Burst rifle is also very powerfull and very accurate. You can use it to protect a point from a distance which can give you an extra advantage of surprise due to the enemy having to figure out your position.

5.) When using the Scientist class remember to keep on the move. What you lack in armor you can make up for in speed. If you come up on a point and then you are overwhelmed by a group of enemies then you can transform and get outta doge. Once your awway you can attack from above in altmode ot you can find a place to snipe with the Burst rifle.

    I use this Loadout:

    Neutron Assault Rifle
    EMP Shotgun

    Disguise
    Sentry

    Rocket Sentry
    Sentry Armor
    Kickback Reduction

Please note that I primarely play Team Deathmatch and Conquest as the other Modes aren't played by many people. The following strategy can be use in both Modes succesfull.
    Now,what I do is this: Activate disguise and immidiatly fly on the enemy's side on the map. If they get fooled by you, wait for the right moment to attack. If they don't, or if you want to just rack up kills like me, swoop in, spawn your sentry and try to get one melee attack if close enough, then finish them off. If your too far away or they're moving, shoot them with your assault rifle - which shouldn't be a prolem even for people who have trouble aiming due to Kickback Reduction. After you've finished them off, go back if you need health or ammo, which you're likely going to, as you only have 3 health blocks. Rinse and repeat;
If you feel outnumbered, try either to attack the enemy from behind disguised (Note that spawning the sentry WON'T take your disguise) or fly into the air and support your teammates from there. If you see anyone in vehicle form, shoot them first (jets have priority, then come tanks, then trucks and last cars). If theyre all just standing there, try to spread your shots out for Area damage, kind of like a real-life bombardement. This should give you a fair share of assist and/or kills.

I don't have much to say on the killstreaks, though. As soon as you have health or overshield matrix, just activate them. The rocket turret should be used from high ground: Note that it has a wide damage area and is basically a one-hit-kill on everything in the centre. Try not to waste your shots. It's especially useful in conquest as you can easily defend a capture point all by yourself.

With this tactic, I get up to 4000 XP on the double weekend, though I've gotten more then 3000 XP on "casual" days as well.

I always play Team deathmath to lever up my Scientist. altho the scientist has the least amount of life the abilities/speed and wepons set all are awsome for combos.
I just play as hard as I can..... simple as that
also I just like to play as the team medic :)

Because of his speed in alt mode, I play conquest and rush over to a node and capture it. If I see one that isn't yours, I rush there, try and destroy anyone protecting it and then capture the node.

I like to level up my scientist in Conquest, since that mode has no limit on deaths and kills, providing the most opportunities to gain XP.

My favorite setup for my Scientist is Disguise and Drain for abilities and the EMP Shotgun and Photon Burst Rifle for weapons. While I generally stick to the Disguise/shotgun combo, sometimes I'll try sniping with the rifle. I use Drain if I'm in the midst of enemies when my Disguise drops to try and keep myself alive until I can get away.

When I use Disguise, I always try to make sure that nobody can see me when I activate it. I also try to alter my behavior so it doesn't look like I'm on the other team. For example, I won't just run through a group of teammates while disguised, since people might wonder why I'm not trying to attack them. Of course, I always try and stay behind enemies when disguised, since your chassis doesn't change while disguised, which could give you away if somebody looks too closely (on a side note, because I use the disguise strategy so much myself, I've become quite good at spotting disguised enemies).

Since this is Conquest, I try to avoid capturing a checkpoint if no one is there, to stop the opposing team from wondering why one of their teammates is capturing a checkpoint for the enemy (the exception being if no one is there because I just killed them).

Get as close as I can with 'disguise' than try to get a headshot with the Photon Burst Rifle. If that doesn't work, I activate drain and star firing my Shotgun

I like in conquest to fly around capture conquest points and defend with a turret and repel attacks with burst rifle and shockwave. I will throw a health grenade to revive me if I need it

While I do not play as a Scientist very often, I do enjoy it when I do. I usually like to go as a lone wolf through Conquest, quickly zooming behind enemy lines to take control of nodes, and speeding away before I am detected. This works well for my type of gameplay, since I love stealth more than anything else. This gets you more points, since capturing points is worth more than kills, and you stay alive longer.

When I play a deathmatch, my strategy changes. I don't play around in 'bot mode too often, and my time is spent hunting enemies slowly and with precision. Disguise is a given, since it makes tracking easier, but other than that, it is just patience and skill.

Disguise works good in team deathmatch... regular deathmatch its pretty much useless.

I fly up to high points, take out groups below with repeated bomb drops, as they are weakened, then drop among them with shockblast / vampire drain, then fly off if someone hasn't picked me off.. Go hide for awhile til I recharge and do it all again.

Huh? points for healing? Apart from a couple of healing-related awards I've never got points for healing people.
