What would be the best ideas for future Escalation modes?

    Maybe its based on who you play? I did 12 waves as Drift last night and he didn't say a single word.

    I haven't heard a single line except the dialogue from Megatron/Optimus in between waves and stuff.

    To be honest I feel rise of the dark spark has the best gameplay for escalation to me but if they went ahead and put it in so the waves were infinite and there was a boss every 10 waves I would be happy!

    The only minor thing I would probably add would be the return of the team paying so if players don't have the cash for a turret they can all pay for it.

    If you're playing as Lockdown he does talk, but only at the start/end of the waves. He'll congratulate his soldiers and yell taunts when you're down to 3 enemies, then make a threat when you're down to one.

    The option to set the waves. Online matches would still have a limit, just to save time, but you can create a custom lobby with unlimited waves and play with your friends.

    Yeah Jazz is the only one I've heard talk, but he's the only one I play as anymore.

    As said before, local co-op is about all I need added to ROTDS' Escalation to be perfect.

    Ive heard drift talk a bit and I think I heard lockdown talk but thats about it from what I heard.

    Also I agree with above local co-op would be great!

    I think I heard Dragstrip say something while playing.

    This is a lot like the dialogue in FoC, in that its so infrequent as to be nonexistent, and when compared to WFC, the in-game dialogue here is completely nonexistent.

    - Unlimited waves or the option to set the amount of waves you want.
    - Character dialog.
    - Boss battles that require strategy to beat.
    - Something like Titanfall where you have to escape after defeating the final boss.
    - A better intro (cutscene) of some sorts to escalation. Not just being throw into the game and just "survive".

    If they wanted to bring Escalation or a similar mode back in a future title, I'd like to see more variety.

    Each character could have their own quotes and phrases that's unique to them. An option to choose how many waves you want, you could even have unlimited waves to see how long you and your friends can survive.

    I like the idea of Power foes, but maybe we could also have bigger and more powerful bosses, I've found that the power foes in ROTDS can be beaten by one person if they do it right, It'd be cool if the whole team had to work together against Bruticus, or Grimlock.

    A larger variety of maps would be nice too. I'd also like to see something like the taunts in Team Fortress 2, and maybe ways to interact with your teammates. High fives, fist bumps, stuff like that. :D

    Upping the player count to 5+ so that let's say if all 5 players were the correct specific team of Autobots or Decepticons (Aerialbots, Combaticons, etc.); they could form Superion, Menasor, Defensor, Bruticus, etc; with the the highest scoring player taking control of the finished combined form of the bots and gaining points that would be awarded to every player.

    More talking, definately. Custom characters check. Number of waves, to be determined before the game, but with a cap of maybe 30 waves. Just my personal opinion, I don't like endless waves, there's a much greater sense of achievement if you can actually complete the waves.

    I'd like to see more maps and some specific character/'team'-based modes to mix things up a bit;

    For example, a Dinobot Escalation - you play as the five (yes, bring back/introduce Sludge as he was unceremoniously featured functionless in a stasis lock and later a quick look at his Bronto-mode in FoC) characters each filling a slot or class, and have Shockwave, the Insecticons and Devastator as the boss.

    A Cassette Escalation - Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw. As for the bosses? Take your pick, given their size even Cliffjumper would be a tall order, which could then lead to some of the bigger Bots for later levels, Scattershot or Ironhide would be like facing a titan tank from WFC.

    The Seekers - Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Sunspot etc. Which would allow for huge levels scattered around isolated platforms based on Starscreams Betrayal level in FoC, but even bigger - note: I know playing as a flyer won't suit everyone but it's something I'd love to see.

    Assemble The Wreckers! - Might need some new characters in terms of dlc, but it would be awesome to tear it up with Springer & co.

    And to follow on from Mobius 1's combiner idea, have the individual team members as bosses every third or fourth level, maybe even two or thre at a time, then for the final boss, you face off against their combined form, Devastator, Superion, Predaking etc.


    Well? Go on Activision! The people hae spoken!

    Maybe combine the current class customization with the old vending machine, locked doors style. Like, you can still pick your weapons and abilities and what not, but there are some weapons that you can only get in the field, and can't equip beforehand. Maybe even have some overpowered abilities you can't pre-equip.

    The ability reload time is way too short. You pretty much have it all the time.

    The dimensional grenade. Nuff said.

    Two abilities per character ala WFC - stripping it down to just one sucked so much individuality out of the characters, whilst you had a huge number of them to choose from in ROTDS, alt modes aside many just felt like clones.
