While finding the blueprints, I realized I didn't need them to play with. That's why I stopped trying to find them.

Do what I did when Transformers bored me: Find a new nerdy franchise in the meantime!

Might I recommend Arkham Asylum? I've blown 6 hours of my life on the campaign so far and I'm loving every second of it!

I think that gets me with that game, the thing that makes me love it the most, is the voice acting (come on, Burton, North, Conroy and Hamill), the dark character designs, the story.....actually everything.

But they're right, more than 10 hours of gameplay along with an abundance of side missions and if you really want something to keep you busy two words....RIDDLER TROPHIES!

No way in hell will I ever go to the store and buy a copy of Skyrim... because I already have it on the X-Box. That's one of the games that came already pre-downloaded when I bought it from my cousin. I haven't really checked it out because I've seen some of the game play online and it reminds me of World of Warcraft... which bored me to tears within the first 5 minutes of playing. Not to mention that everyone I know or have heard about online who play that game are freaking idiots, A holes, and/or the kind of stereotypical losers that still live in their parent's basement when they're 40. I honestly think that game uses subliminal messages to make people want to play it more, treat everyone who doesn't play it like crap, and act like total idiots when they can't get on the servers. I could be wrong but I have yet to meet anyone who plays WoW that isn't at least 1 of the 3 things.

Long story short... if Skyrim is anything like WoW, I'm going to hate it.

Any game that a person would rather play then to have sex has got to be using subliminal messages because no game is that good.

Well considering I didn't know anything about your gaming experience I didn't know what to think. :p

I don't know if it's just me or the game is different, but I remember having slightly more difficult with SC2 on X-box than on Gamecube. Especially the quest mode whatever it was officially called. I did beat it with Spawn so I thought it was that, but then going back and playing as my mains Talim and Mitsurugi things were different. It's like they upped the difficulty albeit slightly. Haven't played the PS2 version, but I'm guessing something similar.

I don't play much in terms of fighting games. Really the only ones I had were X-men Next Dimension and Capcom vs SNK 2 EO for the GC. Still have them although my skill in Next Dimension has suffered after playing so many FPS games. Still not bad at Capcom vs SNK 2 EO. My skill level is still average though.

Smash Brothers brings back quite a few memories. I played quite a bit during high school, but college with my roommates it got quite heated. Helped me improve my skill quite a bit. My mains in Smash Brothers are Link, Fox, and Cpt. Falcon. Every now and then I'll play as Samus or Kirby, but no where near as much as the others. In melee though I still play as Link and Falcon, but I dropped Fox since they upped his speed which screws with my movements for him. I use replaced him with DK and Ganondorf. For laughs I use either the ice climbers or Mr. Game and watch. Nothing like getting beaten up by a 2 dimensional character lobbing sausages at you from a frying pan.

Ganondorf had exactly the same moves as Captain Falcon except he's slow as all hell. I was good with Captain Falcon but the loss of speed really screwed me up on Ganondorf.

On the same concept why would you drop Fox for being too fast but play Falco? He's faster than Fox is. That's pretty much the only reason I liked Falco and not Star Fox, I thought Star Fox was too slow.

Anyway... like I said in a previous post. Whenever I got bored I just hit the random character selection. Plus that was also the only time I ever played Zelda as Zelda is when I picked her randomly otherwise I'd normally change into Sheik right at the start of the match.

I also forgot to list Donkey Kong on my favorite characters. That ground pound thing he does, plus he can just pick up a character carry them to the edge of the level and throw them off.

Worst characters in that game I think are Pichu and can't remember his name but the little psychic kid. I hate him because if he gets knocked off a level his only way to jump back up is to attack himself. Pichu is worse because every attack he uses also hurts himself. Pickachu has the same attacks but he doesn't do damage to himself while using them. Characters who do damage to themselves are really bad for fighting games. Ice climbers are kinda dumb too. They're ok if you have both of them but you can loose one and with him half your damage and your jump up ability. I'd usually end up jumping off the platform whenever I play them and loose my partner because that's the only way to get him to respawn. On the plus side they're the only character... characters??? that let you grab two items at the same time. I once had a match set up to drop only Pok'eballs and was bombarding my opponents with them sense I could grab two and throw them simultaneously. :)

How unfortunate for you. I too have experiences with small minorities of people and stereotypes, but I have the ability to refrain from generalizing all of a subculture of people by my small interaction with them.

By your logic, everyone here is a 300 pound man baby that spends his mom's rent money on plastic children's toys, and jacks it to Arcee + Insecticons slashfic, and goes out once a week to push kids over at TRU so he can buy his plastic crack? Does that description describe someone? Probably. Not enough to make that generalization though. :(  I am disappoint.

Did you really just compare a bias against people who play a stupid game to cultural bias against race and religion?

The difference is race isn't a choice. Playing WoW is a choice. The choice to join a gang has nothing to do with being black or white. The choice to play WoW rather than take care of your kids has everything to do with weather or not you play WoW. That game is like a drug addiction. I've seen people who start out only playing games in their free time for fun until they start playing WoW and then it turns into they only pay attention to their real lives when the WoW servers go down for maintenance. And I honestly don't get it. I've tried that game but I get bored with it after 5 minutes. It's repetitive as all hell. I use to take care of a guy's kids for him while he played WoW all day long and never left the computer except to use the bathroom. He even ate dinner while at the computer playing WoW. I've never known any other game to cause it's players to ignore every other aspect of their lives. That's why I said that part about subliminal messaging being used in the game because that's the only thing I can come up with for why people get so damn addicted to it.

Instead of comparing it to racial stereotypes you should be comparing it to drug addictions and/or alcoholics.

    *Sigh*.

    You poor poor man. :(

Firstly, no. No I didn't. Never did I address race, in any form. Read nothing into my words other than what is said. Did you mistake my use of the word minority as referring to race? As this has nothing to do with race and everything to do with silly groups of nerds thinking they are better than other groups of silly nerds, I'll just assume you misunderstood.

OBVIOUSLY, I was talking about the specific subcultures of WOW players and TFandom. Two subcultures, that are more similar than you're obviously comfortable with admitting. I could write you paragraphs on how it's all the same shit. It is all about getting the new hotness. One is plastic toys, one is pixels. One is Masterpiece Soundwave, one is a complete set of T2.

Your limited experience with people that play MMO's is by no means even close to the reality of the majority of players. JUST LIKE the TFan that I described. Do those people exist, of course they do. They are the minority though.

Sloth, irresponsibility, dishonesty, addiction, impulsive behavior, and ugliness are not exclusive to one hobby or another. I know a guy that paints Warhammer mini's, and does a LOT of meth. I would be embarrassed to even type the words "Those Warhammer guys, they loves their meth brah".

TFans will buy their toys. MMO players will /roll on their hawt lootz while /dance-ing, Tabletop guys will roll their D20's, Magic guys will tap that Mana. I will do all of these things. Not one of these groups have more or less garbage people than the other. It's all hobbies bro. You seem to have a problem with shitty people that happen to play WOW.

First, I came to the comparison with racial stereotypes do to you're trying to explain there there are good and bad in all nerd hobbies. That's pretty damn similar to the argument that there are good and bad in all races.

I was making the comparison to drug addictions because drugs can totally change a person's personality and I've seen that with WoW players. I have never known any other nerd hobby to cause a person to change into a total A-hole. That's not to say there aren't A-Holes in every nerd group but those people were that way before they started whatever hobby.

I guess sense you're not talking race then you must think alcohol is no different than soda. There are A-holes who drink beer and A-holes who drink Pepsi so totally the same right? Wrong! A person who is a bad driver while drinking Pepsi is always a bad driver regardless of what they're drinking. A person who is a bad driver while they're drinking beer might actually be a safe driver if they were actually sober.

Another way to put it... Women are bad drivers is a stereotype. Asians are bad drivers is a stereotype. Alcoholics are bad drivers is a fact.

WoW is in every way like a drug. It's even the only nerd hobby that actually has a rehab program. Look it up. No other nerd hobby has side effects like you're on drugs, just World of Warcraft.

    Go spew this rubbish elsewhere.

All this over skyrim...next time dont go off on a uniformed thought and actually learn what the item (skyrim) actually is.

This is video game discussion. Skyrim is a video game.

This from someone that apparently doesn't know Skyrim is a video game.

Seriously though this started out because I said I thought Skyrim looked too much like World of Warcraft. I could be wrong but so far the only arguments have been to defend World of Warcraft rather than to give me any reason to actually want to play Skyrim.

That being said, if you want me to try out Skyrim then explain how it's different from World of Warcraft. If you're going to defend WoW or insult me that's really counter productive to any argument you make as it's making even less interested in Skyrim than I was at the beginning of the conversation. I started out slightly curious about where that "took an arrow in the knee" joke came from and now I just don't freaking care. In fact if someone doesn't explain how Skyrim is different from WoW soon I'm going to loose interest in this entire conversation.
