The in-game chat makes it quite hard to share links and images, such as base layouts, which can be useful, for example, when asking for advice on Alliance War stages others have already completed. Please don't use this thread to just spam a bunch of cool screenshots of your team - it's meant to be mostly about sharing information relating to current in-game chat and happenings. On the other hand, a shot of an orbital strike demonstrating its exact area of effect would be quite useful, even long-term. Use is pretty simple - when in-game conversation requires a picture or link, post it here and tell people to check the thread.
Well, let's start with this awful death trap, aka stage 3 of the current alliance war. To be honest, I'm kind of jealous. How are you supposed to beat it? head on won't work, you get annihilated by all sorts of horribleness. Maybe a squad of levelled up fliers carpet bombing the citadel directly with skydive's abillity upgraded as much as it can be?
I'm in dire need of a good alliance. I have 1600 medals so far, level 8 base and player level 23. I would appreciate it if someone would invite me to an alliance. My android username: Caldoprime15 (autobot base)
This isn't a recruiting or looking for alliance thread, but feel free to make on of those as needed. In other news, spots are opening right now in the TFW alliance. Put in your forum name with your in-game request.
I am getting slammed on the second level on today's war. I am playing Prime, Grimlock, Pyra Magna, Prowl, Ironhide, and Air Raid, but can not even reach the base
I asked this in group chat, but figured I'd do it here too to make it easier to respond -- RE: Hitting a Progression Wall. I was doing great up to HQ 8, upgraded my shuttle to get a 6th character in battles and now I feel like I hit a wall. I'm using a team of 5 ** and a *** ironhide. Ironhide, ** Prime and ** Jazz have gone through the upgrade to allow them to go to Lvl 30, but the XP I'm getting from Zone 3 battles is leveling them at a slow pace. When I try to jump to Zone 4, I get slaughtered and I don't know why. Zone 3 doesn't give you much resources in a win, so everything is basically at a stand still. THOUGHTS?
I'm just past where you are, and still having issues with Zone 4. I'm running ***Slag, and multiple **Bot teams. So it's likely not going to get easier for a while. What you should think about is what you're after. There are really two strategies in play. 1) XP - roll zone 3 (or 2 if you need to) to level up bots, especially on the way to the 20 barrier. 2) Resources - don't be afraid to jump above your level. I can't win Zone 4, but I routinely am battling in zones 5-8. Why? Because they provide so much more in the way of resources. I've had battles that netted me over 100k of either resource, and I only hit 30-40% base destruction before they took me down. Target the extractors and storage facilities. Ignore the base defenses, and just do AS MUCH DAMAGE as possible before you're dead. Those resources will allow you to jump your guys past the lvl 20 barrier, and start making progress again. A note about (2) - You'll still hit zone 8 battles that net you 10k resources. Remember, you can always retreat from the battle (X in upper right). You lose the 5 fuel, but you don't start the respawn timers on your guys, allowing you to jump immediately into another battle. So if the base layout is such that you don't think you can get much (and it might still be worth trying!) or if there's just not a lot to get, it might be worth it to just take the 5 fuel loss and not worry about having to wait for your guys to reset.
I will have to try out those tactics for aiming high for resources and see how it pans out. The new event, while for no resources, was a nice change of pace compared to getting frustrating not being able to get past Zone 3 ha
I love my 3-star Pyra. Her health went to 10000 when she came out of the lab at level 41. She's definitely a tank.
I've found all the Victorian bots to be quite good, actually. I think this is a great way for Hasbro to promote new characters. By making them useful in this game, they've increased my interest in seeing more of them about 1000% more than I had before. Same for Windblade. I don't have one yet, but from what I've been hearing from those that do, her usefulness has me more interested in the character than the comics or cartoons have managed so far.
New update Anybody else having issues since the update with your bots not engaging the enemy appropriately? Here is an example where one bot took out four of mine without even being fired upon. https://youtu.be/Z1eDbcKIw00
Does the honeycomb around the harvesters work? Do the attacking bots hack at the walls to get to them versus going for buildings not in them?
