I don't think it's getting a remaster but it's just being brought over to the XB1 and PS4.

 

This is great news, loved that game, maybe they will add all 3 games together

I've been hoping for a while that the Transformers games would come to BC for the Xbox One. When I originally played them, I only did the multiplayer for the most part because I wasn't a big fan of the franchise. Things have changed since then...

PS4 Trophies are up and there's no War For Cybertron... just Fall Of Cybertron... WHY ACTIVISION?
And we still don't know if there's going to be any improvements, but there's definitely going to be multiplayer too so at least the online will get a new life

Pardon the stupid question, but this is a good website, right? Like, it can be trusted? I only ask because I'm taking this info with a MAJOR grain of salt. That and I'm trying to not get my hopes up.

 

the information on that site is extracted from Sony's servers so yes, it's 100% legit, if the trophies for the PS4 version are in Sony's servers then the game has been approved by Sony to be released on the PS4

 

Everything in this thread should be taken with a grain of salt except the trophy list. For starters, a country releasing rating info about a game that is unannounced, while a good sign, is not assured. So the very title of this thread was a huge overstatement.

But earlier today Activision announced the Marvel Ultimate Alliance ports for PS4 and Xbox One, which gives more authority to the original link.

And the best evidence is indeed the trophy list. It still isn't 100% until it's announced but as kyPrime said, this information is culled from Sony themselves and it is a VERY good sign.

So personally, I'm treating this as somewhere around 90% likely to happen. Perhaps even 95%. Almost assuredly at this point but still possibly not.

 

ok so the marvel alliance games don't have any improvements and don't even have all the dlc included + they're priced at $40 or something like that, judging by that i suspect that this will be the case with fall of cybertron too, no upgrades, no dlc, and a high price, what can i say... it's Activision

Seeing as how the original game was already in HD with free online (and still somewhat active) what is the benefit of a PS4 port?

 

Fall of Cybertron was 720p/30fps with low res textures, low res effects, low res everything, ps4 can easily run the game in 1080p/60fps with everything maxed, of course that they won't do that and just port the game as it was like with the prototype/marvel/deadpool, Activision just doesn't know how to make remasters except COD MW because that's COD, they don't care about the rest, i bet that they won't even fix the super super low resolution cutscenes in the campaign or that "Shockwave" text bug

 

Well the Ultimate Alliance games seem to just be straight up ports so I imagine it'll be the same for this, unfortunately.

Although activision releasing both UA an UA2 gives me hope that they'll release both WFC and FOC. I'd love to play both on the ps4, remastered or not. Would breathe some new life into the multiplayer I hope.


I also wonder if this'll be coming sooner rather than later, since UA kinda got a surprise release today.

 

Well, I thought the game, graphically, was good. FOC was a vast improvement over WFC in terms of graphics. But I am hoping they at least improve some of the cutscenes. Some of the character models look a little muddy in them, esepecially in the cutscene that takes place after Metroplex crushes Megatron.

 

Re-release/ port to another platform and remaster do not mean the same thing.
Perhaps a mod should update the thread title which is not accurate.
