Its a simple question, I have been playing Stick of Truth a lot and just thought how cool if we got a G1 RPG where you play as a select group of Autobots or Decepticons, level them up, and other stuff RPGs like Stick of Truth did. Opinions?
I keep waiting for a TF RPG with an open world to explore. I would want to be able to play as Bot or Con (I'd choose Con). It'd be nice to be able to play a favorite character, though if it was a MMO I imagine it'd be an OC (original character). Maybe something a bit like FoC but more RPG like. Have some fighting and leveling up elements, maybe even the capability to travel between worlds, or even explore space, and I'd definitely be interested. I think there's a good-size group of people who keep wanting something like this, though I don't know just how many there are.
The TFTM DS games were effectively this - stats were affected by both your character level and the robot/alt. mode you chose (I.E. the armored van would always be better at taking a beating than the faster sports car), though at points you had to play as a movie character for specific missions and their stats were always locked.
I'de like an open world game somewhat like the Mad Max game and the soon to be No Man's Sky, styled like TF devastation and gameplay similar to WF/ FOC but less restricted in a way. You would choose between Autobot or Decepticon and any character given, assume their roles and complete the story the way you want, all lead to the same finale. Worlds would include Cybertron, Earth, Nebulan, and any other planet you can think of. If only I had a game developing studio.
I think it would be awesome! It would be cool if you could create your own team of either bots or cons, however I can imagine making each transformer different battle-wise being difficult for the designers and coders. I can imagine some people getting angry that certain characters can't be team members. :/ Personally I think the universe of Fall/War for Cybertron would work well in the RPG medium.

OH WAIT! there was one: Transformers G1: Awakening I think it was ffor the snes or something in japen...that's guess But i do know it was on the mobile phone markets and was taken down when the company that put it out went under.
That wasn't an RPG. It was a turn-based strategy (kind of) game. And no, it wasn't for any console; only phones.
