-the G1 laser blast sounds (the generic Autobot and Decepticon guns, plus the sound Prime's Ion Rifle made as well as Megatron's Fusion Cannon)
-either the G1 Voice Cast or Sound Alikes (in the case of Hound, Thundercracker, Starscream, Ratchet, Wheeljack, Cliffjumper, Cyclonus)
-G1 Transformation sounds
-Dinobots playable and individual Constructicons

I think this looks to be an awesome game, and I bet you somewhere in the box will be an add for CW Devastator. I'm definitely going to get it for 360. I honestly wish we could get a cartoon with this animation!

 

It's essentially an interactive new episode of G1. It's like the Ghostbusters video game from 2009, where we get the original actors and get a "sequel" of sorts to an 80s franchise. And that's awesome. Though one has to ask, who is going to be doing the voice of Wheeljack? And by extension, the voice of Starscream?

 

I really love the animation we've seen from these stills so far.

 

There's only stills of this right? I'm having trouble wrapping my head over what this will look like in motion.

With Platinum doing it it's gonna be crazy though.

 

Any news if Decepticons will be playable at all?

 

Just saw the trailer. The combat is really smooth and there are several combos that involve transformation. Optimus for example, trailer and all does several donuts, taking out a ton of Decepticons with him. The individual Constructicons appear to be bosses as well.

There aren't any playable Decepticons, but there are five playable Autobots and around thirty Decepticon bosses. According to the devs they intend to dig into the makeup of the characters, both Autobot and Decepticon alike. One of them mentioned how they hope to show just how deep a lot of these characters are.

 

I am very excited for this!!!! Like I dunno if I can wait!@

 

This looks like it will be a fun diversion from Bloodborne/Dark Souls.

5 characters is actually a lot for a Platinum game.

 

Am I the only one worried that the gameplay might get really repetitive really fast? I've never played a Platinum game before so I honestly don't know what to expect.

 

DMC had a ridiculous number of upgrades to achieve. And the game description does mention "customization," so I think something along the lines of a create-your-own-combo or weapon selection gimmick would be reasonable too expect.

 

Preordered from Gamestop yesterday, along with a bunch of other games. The game looks good. Not used to all the melee action because not used to seeing Transformers fight like Gundams or doing Street Fighter hurricane kicks. Can't wait to play it!

 

Platinum has nailed Cell Shading in a way I've never seen pulled off before. Stills look like animation cells rather than screenshots from a 3D game.

 

I hope the developers are keeping a few secrets up there sleeves like the 5 playable Autobots (after beating story mode) unlock new playable characters. For example:

Beat the game with Optimus Prime & unlock IronHide. Wheeljack unlocks Ratchet, Sideswipe unlocks his brother Sunstreaker. Bumblebee can unlock Prowl & Grimlock can maybe unlock Swoop or Jetfire (cause by this point the Autobots could use some wings). With no playable Decepticons, Platinum Games could at least give us 10 playable Autobots (imho).

... and i really hope there's more to the areas then whats been shown. Hopefully some sort of free roam type city that you can explore. The small (blocked off) sandbox areas should only happen during a boss battle (imo).
