It's a decent diversion but there's a good amount of luck and p2w. I am curious if this game will have more toy previews.

Yep, this is definitely lots of luck and more P2W. I see a short life for me and this game now  

 

noticed this existed yesterday. first freebie crate i opened had Sandstorm in it. him, plus 3 seekers re-rolling for first strike, and it's carried me through god knows how many fights.

game is reasonably fun, crates cost absolutely ludicrous amounts of money, there isn't much actual strategy involved beyond having a gameplan of some description and having a little luck with the rolls.

it's still much better than the legends cardgame.

 

I can't believe the price hike on the crates today. Glad I lucked into Astrotrain when I did, but man, he is so off the charts powerful it's ridiculous. I've had opponents take two rounds of targeted attacks on him and still fail to kill him.

 

It warms my heart to hear that Astrotrain is OP.

 

I'm ill with manbola aka. weaponized manflu, so I've been sat in bed most of the day. Played this a bit and climbed to mid-700s in the global rankings, although that'll slip dramatically as more people play the game over the weekend.

All in all, its actually quite good fun (the game, not the illness) and I even spent a tenner on their shitty overpriced gold to add runamuck to my lineout, as my three common seekers were starting to show their age.

Can't see myself spending much more on it in its current state tho - unless you generate better characters you will hit a brick wall every couple of tiers.

I was spawning it with a cheesy team comp based on a single lucky drop, trying grind through the rubbish tiered unlocks looks painful.

 

Same here its ridiculous how fast they changed the space bridge prices I luckily got Armada Megatron on day one and am happy i did he too is very powerful

 

I'm pretty sure I haven't won a coin toss since the tutorial.

 

Here's what needs to happen in order to make the game better:

A more balanced ranking pvp system.
A much less expensive Micro transaction system.
Easier difficulty to get the exclusive units.
More characters.
Better free drop system.

 

I'm digging this game. Definitely requires strategy, especially when you consistently don't get the first strike. I like the amount of characters. I haven't had any issues yet with difficulty levels. It's better than the legends card game by miles.

 

I'm digging this game so far, my only complaints are the super expensive space bridge, how easy it is to run out of cubes and the difficulty in getting exclusive characters. And the balance issues for sure.

I'm also wondering why exactly this game doesn't yet have Arcee or Superion, both of whom have appeared in screenshots and on the title screen. When will more characters be added? Superion is shown here but is not in-game yet Transformers: Battle Tactics Released Now For Android And iOS - Transformers News - TFW2005

I'd also like to know if there will be events and if so, when they will begin. I heard through the grapevine that TF:BT will have events not unlike TF Legends, though I have yet to verify if that is indeed true. If it is and that's how we get more characters, I'm wondering when they will begin and how frequently.

First strike is pretty OP and overshadows all other special abilities IMO. I stack up with reroll and reroll all and just use utility abilities only [target/scramble/etc]

I lucked out with free Sandstorm, and later wound up with Double Dealer in the first welcome crate I purchased and saved up enough resources to get runamuck [which when leveled up gives you 2 First strike slots in vehicle mode]. That plus a seeker I got 5 slots to hit to get first strike. I'd like to swap out sandstorm for astrotrain and swap out one of the seekers for someone else with 2 first strike slots.

I've hit way above my weight limit in a few matches vs dudes with 4 super rares just from first striking, scrambling and rerolling all to get multiple first strikes [they stack in case you face off vs another guy with a all first strike team].

Triple changers are the freakin' bomb because of their utility of usually having 2 sets of special abilities, with a good number of them having 2 roll slots for them.

There is strategy at the higher levels, especially when you want to go against the bot parties to try to get as much loot as you can. Namely trying to get 2 of your dudes with first strike going and have your other 2 in an mode that maximizes their damage or do an area effect attack.

Anyone have maxed out Roadbuster? Great stats but no special ability which I guess is his point. I forget if he gains any abilities as he levels up [like Runamuck]

 

Looking for 2 new league members my buddies aren't huge Transformers fans and aren't playing that much but me and another member on the team are pretty frequent and we both have a pvp score of 1700+ I don't really care about your pvp score if you want to join just that you play frequent and like to talk transformer news in the league message board if you want to join message me on TFW the Leagues name is Tacticons

 

My league is full, sadly, and we're all active players.

I'm just wondering when new characters are going to show. I'm shocked that two of the characters in the title graphic for the game and in plenty of promo snapshots aren't even available at launch. It's supposed to be what, 75+ characters? It totally feels like way less than that right now.

Also some very questionable design decisions were made regarding the tier system. Why is Orion Pax more powerful than Optimus Prime? Etc. None of that makes sense.

And I really want to know if this will just remain straight PvP or if we'll get events. For all its glaring problems, TF Legends is feeling like a way more balanced game...

 

Im sure we will get events my guess for how the events will work is like bot battles where you choose a certain tier team to battle events will work the same way the higher tear teams will give out more points which will determined on which character will be rewarded to you at the end of the event depending on how many points you accumulated.

Hmmmm, good point! The ultra class powerglide from way back i thought he was based on was stormcloud. There was a 'night viper' in beast wars, but it was a maximal iirc.

Maybe a new character they're staking out the name of? Hasbro have done a bit of strategic naming in the past.

Also: most worryingly - Have now climbed into the top 100. Bearing in mind I'm really bad at videogames, that kinda suggests there aren't many people actually playing this right now. :/

 

Looks like a Cobra-themed re-skin, I remember seeing a custom using the same concept years ago.
