Very cool. But isn't some of this on the 20th anniversary TF the movie DVD? I could be wrong, I know it has some different footage. Yeah

I'm kinda glad they did cut the Magnus scene differently or that would've been permanently burned into my brain along with the other season 1&2 characters deaths. It was discussed in the commentary about the suspicions that he was torn apart instead of blown apart.

I can see why both scenes were cut. That scene with Devastator would have broke up the optimus scene which is awesome. The magnus scene is just brutal and would not have gone down well with children. The devastator scene could have been moved though to before the dinobots landed.

that was priceless and an excellent contribution, mate. The Devastator battle with the rocket launcher Autobot team would have been EPIC. Thanks again! Love to see more of the wonderful amount of cut footage!

I can't believe it took so long for this to make the front page.

Seriously, for anyone who hasn't checked it out, Hitch's facebook page is essential viewing for any TF fan. The guy has an archive of material comparable to nobody else I know of and the fact that he is sharing this with us in fantastic.

I remember this in the comic! I read all three issues before seeing the movie itself so when I finally did watch it I was puzzled. I kept waiting for the drawing and quartering but it never happened.

Interesting to see how these details change your experience of the narrative a little bit. Devastator just kind of disappearing, Magnus' somewhat silly "death" from the "limbs fall off" rays... it all makes more sense now.

Also kind of funny that the Dinbots are outdone by "guys with missiles". Funnier still, those guys with missiles are then outclassed by a squad of six Constructicons. :lol

In the Marvel movie comics, I think again in the IDW modern-take on it also.

Yes, recent club comic, looks like it was taken exactly from these storyboards we are now seeing. Very cool stuff.

Yep, in the movie Galvatron orders the execution, so having Magnus ripped apart would make sense, but I agree, that might have been a bit too violent for 80's animated films.

Today though, it would be probably considered tame compared to what is out there.

Props to Magnus's death scene. That's was what you call drawn an quartered. Sick!
