A while back I posted a thread here about an upcoming Transformers webseries I was working on, and now the first episode has been released. Here it is. Episode 1 The series is going to cover a variety of stories and characters, so if you have a favorite character you'd like to see featured, don't hesitate to let me know. Right now the plan is to release the episodes weekly, but since this is done in the free time of my collaborators and myself, the schedule will likely be a lot looser. Wow! Very nice. I found myself actually... enjoying it and tolerating the voice work. That's perhaps the second time a TF stopmotion caught my interest.
Alright, so my one-episode-per-week thing isn't exactly working out. I am still working on it though, and I've put together a trailer using footage from the episodes I've shot (the first five so far). It's really just a "yes, this project still exists" trailer, so it's not super elaborate. I have some people helping with the voices already, but the series is much more focused on dialogue than action which means that it's going to become noticeable (and annoying) pretty quickly if it's the same 3 people talking to each other (or themselves) every episode. Any of the characters in the video (aside from Optimus, Megatron, and Drift) are up for grabs, so if there's one or more you'd like to try out for, either post your audition as a video response to the trailer or send me a message with a link to it (video or just audio is fine). I'm not looking for imitations of existing performances, so feel free to mix it up a bit. If you've got an interesting take on a character, I'd really like to hear it!
Whoa! That music goes well with the trailer, and I recognize it too. However I love the shots of characters and the amazing stop motion. Good job! I'm looking forward to the next episode when it comes.
