You know, this actually makes me wonder if BW Primal and Megatron were actually ment to be a King Kong homage? (The old movie had Kong fighting a T-rex as well.) That'd be kind of neat if true.

IIRC the original BW concept was that Optimus was a giant apre,like King Kong. Also,Optimus and Megatron were the G1 characters,just with new animal bodies.

 

The whole thing about them originally intended to be the G1 Prime and Meg I knew about, but wasn't what I was referring to.
I was referring to the idea that the toys being a giant ape vs a t-rex was possibly an homage to the old King Kong film.

Probably not. But it was just a neat thought.

 

well, i edited together the footage, but yes, i wrote, produced, and voiced it. =)

 

that's what i heard. primal is supposed to have been a GIANT gorilla not just a normal sized one. but in the show, it's more like megatron is a miniature t-rex. because the pre-humans are the same size and cheetor and rattrap.

 

I kept wanting something to transform.
