I was just wondering, what's the worst movie figure toy in your opinion? Lets limit to the traditional Deluxe, Voyager, and Leader classes. Which figure makes you mad when you transform it or whatnot?
I quite like that figure lol I know his arms are crap but he's sort of "Not very good" in a charming way to me. Blazemaster is absolutely crap he's like the precursor to Airachnid.
My least favorite, off the top of my head, is Battle Blades Optimus. I never really liked that figure.
RotF Leader Megatron. Yeah, it's big and imposing, but the gimp arm and the giant unarticulated claw arm ruined the figure for me.
I can't designate a "worst" but here are a few I wasn't necessarily find of and why I disliked them DOTM Deluxe Starscream; the chicken-legs, the ugly goddamn paint scheme, the joints which don't allow for too many dynamic poses, and an accessory that really goddamn sucks. Human Alliance Sideswipe; backpack and articulation rendered unusable by details. DOTM Deluxe Optimus Prime (trailer version) shit articulation, no heels, no accessories (trailer doesn't count) and a backpack made of the nose of the vehicle mode. DOTM Voyager Sentinel Prime; shit articulation, shit accessories, shit paint, shit transformation (unfold vehicle mode and bob's your uncle)
I just cracked open Takara AD Revenge Optimus just last night (basically a BB Optimus with the darker Striker deco) and I quite like it. It's like a scaled down version of the ROTF/HFTD/Buster Leader OP mold, and the darker Striker deco on it is pretty slick. I never owned a Bayverse Voyager OP mold before this and was pleasantly surprised to find the Matrix in his chest cavity when I transformed him for the first time (without using the instructions). Bot and truck alt modes are pretty nice to me. Worst mold that I've owned? That's a tough one as I rather like the majority of the various Bayverse toys. TFTM Leader Megatron could have been better, I suppose, but like a lot of TFTM toys, they started off fairly basic and not quite 100% accurate to the CGI character designs until later (like with a lot of Optimus toys until the ROTF/HFTD/Buster Leader OP mold was made, or with Starscream toys until the HFTD/MP-M01 mold was released). The bot mode on TFTM Deluxe Barricade is pretty meh but he does have a great alt mode.
I'd probably go with the DotM voyager Optimus. That figure is such shit. I remember when we first saw pictures, everyone thought it was a Fast Action Battler.
Off the top of my head; DOTM Voyager Optimus, all versions. DOTM Voyager Sentinel Prime, take away the accessories and what articulation you do have and you have a Burger King toy. TFTM Voyager Starscream, just those 'hands'... ROTF Leader Megatron, I do like the 'look' but the cannon needed articulation. AOE Crosshairs, weird figure, it articulates when it feels like it. Or is it just me?
I seem to remember really disliking rotf Rampage, he was just a weird robot. And yeah, TF1 jazz was horrible.
Most of the 1st movie stuff is bad and there is nothing really to collect but I think the ROTF line had some of the worst figures. Voyager Scavenger Deluxe Blaze-Master, and Deluxe Rampage come to mind but the worst figure has to be Leader Jetfire.
Scalpel is a fragile little POS. The said thing is they never bothered doing a legends figure for him. I really despise Blaze Master and ROTF Voyager Starscream.
I can't stand most of the Movieverse so hardly an unbiased observer but one I was gifted and literally no-one wants to take off my hands is that DOTM Voyager that's basically two rubber-bands as wheels and a couple of scoop-shovels as fake arms and that's pretty much it. Whatever that chunk of fuckery is called it's worse than Armada Blurr and Airachnid because it's basically nothing at all. That Cement Mixer was also pretty shit too. Those.
