Definitely a goodnews for us! We won't have to worry about getting a KO, damn i can imagine the rage if i decided to get the MISB barricade for 150$ when i saw the news lols. A big bonus if it has premium paint aps,  

 

I've come close to spending over the odds to get an original myself, like you I'm glad I didn't now................and a bonus Soundwave chucked in too!! AWESOME.

I'll be truly stoked to get this set, if they have premium paint too that will be some seriously sweet cheery on top of an already tasty cake!! (fingers crossed).

Edit: and when I finally get an original I can post side by side comparisons too. KO vs the REAL DEAL.

 

Necro thread! I finally have my HA barricade!   at long last after all this years of regret not getting the guy when i was already holding it the time it was released! was it already 5 years? damn, anyhow im both happy and sad that i finally got him. why? well i doubt we will be seeing more of this.

Glad you finally got a legit Barricade Jayman!! I got the 2pk as well just last week(damn big box) STOKED!! More so on Barricade than Soundwave.
I feel your pain too though, HA is one of the greatest lines of recent years, so many characters that would have been amazing given the HA treatment!!

I got a legit one at a TJ Maxx for 12$ years ago, and the blue isn't as vibrant as the 2-pack, it's actually purplish almost.

 

What do you want for that KO now that you got the real deal? Congrats on your new purchase..

 

I would like to think that Barricade is cool enough of a figure to warrant a future possible MP or Leader class version.

 

If the person is in Hong Kong it should say Based in Hong Kong. Whilst we are part of China kind of (a Special Administrative Region so we still have a customs border and visas are required to/from China), on eBay it should definitely come up as Hong Kong.

Cheers on our barricade bro!   so how does the original compared to your ko? is the difference worth it or almost same?

 

From first glance they look identical, but on closer inspection there are a few differences, alt mode holds together far nicer, plus the apps look a tiny bit better. The gaps are more noticeable on the KO. Bot mode, the paint apps are cleaner on the official, plus the spring loaded arm gimmick works where as on the KO it doesn't. Plus the KO's bot mode is a little looser all over to be honest whee as you got nice tight joints on the real deal.
The KO's Frenzy is literally a pile of crap, nothing can make him stand wheres the official's stands no problem and can be posed.

TL;DR

Hellz yeah, well worth getting the official over the KO.

 

So, the KO has the silver paint and the Real one has white paint?

 

Actually, looking at my real and KO I can see that in fact both have silver writing, but the real Barricade has a metallic fleck to it where as the KO is flat silver.

 

Yikes. Okay, but the POLICE on the back bumper of the real one has the bottom part of the L (the horizontal part) cut almost in half? and a raised part on the front grill?

 

Yeah, the the one raised section on the grill and the 'L' being dissected in different places (see below) are two proper tells of an original and KO 

........................... FAKE ................................................... REAL

 

Guys, I'm really interested in tracking down a HA Barricade but I remember even last year when the ebay prices were around $80. With the Asia Exclusive set out, I figure that's a safe bet but now I'll need Bumblebee.

All the ebay HA guys are around $40...are there really no legitimate ones on ebay? TBH, the seller's are usually upfront if they're KO.

What can I expect to pay for a legitimate HA Barricade or Bumblebee? Thanks!

 

HA Bumblebee usually goes around for 40+ USD depending on the seller. I usually find them around 73-118 USD new mint in box.

I found one legit one on ebay, but it's the HFTD reissue, not the original ROTF release. Bumblebee itself is the same, the only difference between this and the older ROTF release is that Sam is smaller and has a white shirt.

As for Barricade, well I usually find him at roughly 80+ USD now that the 2 pack has been recently released. I'd get the 2 pack though, the aftermarket prices haven't inflated that much yet and you get a HA Soundwave, which in the past cost 150+ USD on its own new, mint on the after market.

As for Jazz (off topic)...I bought him for 200 USD new, mint sealed in box...lol. Still happy though, my hunting is over. But I wish you luck.
