This line kind of hints it's all a Combiner line, do you think?

All I would want now is a Combiner Devastator.

 

I also think third parties are salivating at the thought of all the new upgrade kits they can make.

 

Could you do a digibash of Offroad as First Aid?

 

Combaticons and Protectobots. Swindle from the jeep like Stunticon (Off Road I think is the name), Streetwise from one of the other Stunticon limbs, and Blades and Vortex from the Alpha Bravo mold.

I would love Abonimus and Computron too, but I wont get greedy. Devastator as well, but rumors suggest against that.

 

i feel like were going to see devestator down the line, but i dont see us getting a new prowl to be the head, which is fine by me personally........buuuuuut

i believe he will feature a head swap gimmick of some caliber instead

bruticus and defensor are pretty much a given based on the mold choices on the current reveals

 

Yeah, it seems from the reveals and possible retools or redecoes that we'll get Generations Combaticons and Protectobots...

 

All of my money would go into this.

Holey crap, I thought that mold was a dead ringer for Blades, but that digibash makes me think it was actually made for Vortex.

Any chance you (or whoever did this) could do a Swindle from Off-road? (And maybe even Onslaught from Motormaster?)

 

Blackjack will be redone into Searchlight, and Off-Road will be redone into Ruckus

Outside of that, who knows.

 

Expect Combaticons and Protectobots...G2 Stunticons...Masquerade Stuntibots...Universe Aerialbots...G2 Aerialbots...

 

Didn't really think about it previously, but that is definitely more a Vortex head than Slingshot. Everyone knows Slingshot is the orange bald guy with slices of toast strapped to his head.  

 

The head isn't that of Blades... but the mold would work fine for the Protectobot all right.

Offroad as Swindle is likely... or even First Aid (bit of a stretch).

I'll consider repainting these buggers some time... but it took me quite a while to make Vortex. >_<

If the figures are smallish Deluxes... the Energon figures have two heads that work for Aerialbot replacements. The A10s were definitely based on Slingshot.

 

Add to this for Protectobots - I think the Voyager OP/MM mold could easily be redone as Hotspot as well, it's "close enough" for Hasbro to do it. If so then we already have 3/5 of this combiner potential with Streetwise (probably from Breakdown or Dead End) and Blades as noted above.

You could even finagle a "close enough" First Aid out of that new Offroad mold (SUV/truck = ambulance?) and since they don't seem to care if the 5th member is a completely off choice, Groove could be replaced by another car from the Stunticons, or a plane from the Aerialbots because why not? Or, if they do make a motorcycle then almost certainly it would be remolded/reused for Computron down the line.

I can totally see that coming, pretty easy remold/redeco for them to pull off.

 

The MLP set is naturally the retool of the Devastator set, as they need a six person/pony team.

 

Naturally. Uranos is pretty steep, buuuuuuut who wouldn't buy a $60 "proper Slingshot" to round out Hasbro's superion?

 

I'd like to see the Stunticons redecoed into Rid Spychangers, drop them into the idw comics somehow, and reconfigure prime with combiner tech

Offroad=ironhide
Deadend=crosswise
breakdown=rev

And then redeco deadend and breakdown twice more as Wars and Hotshot

 

I would guess we will see new tooling for brawl and blast off, maybe a new one for groove, not sure on streetwise and first aid as they could be repaints, I would say a new voyager hotspot/onslaught (one a retool of the other).

Technobots and Terrorcons would have to be complete new toolings to really work and they never seem to be up there with when it come to combiners so I am not sure if we will see them from hasbro. Also I doubt the construticons in 2015 but 2016 all new toolings possibly.

 

Even though it would be pushing into obscurity (At least in America anyways), I would like to see the entire Victory line in generations. Its still G1 and seriously who wouldn't want a Liokaiser or even Star Saber? When you think about it, the entire show is literally cluttered with combiners.

I do want to see the other G1 combiners, but it still would be nice to see the characters outside of America get their first figures here for once.

 

I doubt the Protectobots will happen, given we saw a while back product packaging mockups for redecos of existing toys into Protectobots - namely PRID Ratchet into First Aid, Cyberverse Arcee into Groove, BH Prowl into Streetsmart as one set, and a set sold separately that had movie Evac as Blades and Generations Grappel as Hot Spot. So...I doubt we'd see the retools for those.

 

Protectobots and Combaticons would be very cool, even if some of them were just repaints of some of the molds we've already seen

That Slingshot looks fantastic as Vortex!

 

I could be totally wrong here but a) aren't the protectobots you speak of a store exclusive? If so I am not sure that would effect things, b) we've had same characters with different tooling on the shelf within a year before. Given there aren't even mock up of them they could be late in the year and there for not effect the repaint.

I am not in way saying it will happen or that I expect it, just its not something I would write off just yet either.
