The best way to do a weapon pack without it actually being a weapon pack is to make a small truck with a trailer completely stacked with various weapons and release it as Swindle and Ironhide. If they want to be real stylish about it they could have different sets of weapons.

This is the exact point I was going to make, they really should make weapons packs for the figures.

Yeah. Weapon packs are cool. Or upgrade kits like what Bandai did for their Gundam. Now I have to steal parts from Gundam or even think about buying their weapons add on for the Transformers.

I don't have to justify my personal actions to anyone but in this case I will: I'm here because this board isn't just about current product and anymore it's not just about Hasbro's product either. I'm here because I'm a fan of the brand, the cartoon and the nostalgia that a genuinely genius transforming toy can have and bring. I have been bashing Has/Tak a lot lately and I won't deny that but that's only because I think and know they can and should do better than the more recent hollow and unpainted molds they've been pushing out. I want the kind of quality feeling product they've released from this brands initial inception up until even just last year. As such I can and will speak my mind for keeping quiet about potential issues and problems only lets such things fester and get worse. If Has/Tak has to raise prices to bring quality back than so be it. If they don't reslove the issue I will stop buying their product but at least I'll be able to appreciate and continue to collect the tons of quality stuff they released prior and I will continue to show up here to speak about and relate to others of like (or maybe not so much in some cases) mind.

    TLDR: because reasons, duh! :D

    My answer is "YES".

I've raised this suggestion many times before. I love weapons like Cybertron Defense Scattorshot's gun, Prime Rumble's pile drivers, Prime FE Optimus gun, RotF Brawn's guns, and FOC Sideswipe's gun (though I wouldn't mind the reverse as well).

There have been so many weapons that can be repainted. A pack of 12 deluxe weapons, or 6 deluxe + 4 legend + 1 voyager, or 3 voyager + 2 deluxe + 2 legend weapons should be as much plastic as 1 modern deluxe right? Hasbro has been able to re-use the old G1 Predacon sword and recolor it for AOE, so what's holding them back?

Hell, blind pack them in a box. Packaging itself would be much less than a deluxe figure, can be at the same price point, and take up less shelf space.

I don't understand why if Star Wars was able to have a tiny box of weapons with their figures a few years ago, remember these packages? Yes, TF weapons are bigger, I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for a pile of weapons that are not colored the same as ones that have been with existing figures.

Mini-Cons were able to be repainted multiple times...and they had to be put together.

I thought about using Construct Bots' weapons, but they're all so..."gap-py". I'm not referring to the holes that can connect, I'm talking about the unnecessary "blank spaces" to save on plastic.

GI Joe, back in the 80s had missile replacement packs. I want the same thing, but with multi-colored guns.

Also, I prefer no launchers with missiles.

First, take a breath. That block of text could have been broken up a bit for easier reading and post coherency. I read it a couple times and I'm still not sure that I got what you were saying.

Second, I meant 'why are you posting in this thread'? Your reaction makes it kind of clear that the subject doesn't really pertain to your interests, so it seems more like just showing up to say something subjectively negative.

    Ebay:
As I said before, remolds of simple weapons from that years line, though as someone said major retailers most likely wouldn't carry them because they aren't action figures, though maybe online retailers like BBTS and TFsourse could carry them.

They can also do weapons packs that have recolors of Cyclonus' Nightstick and Scoop's Caliburst and Holepunch in them. Or start altering those molds a bit to be more unique.

There's no need for that breath as I am quite calm.

There was also no need to break up my paragraph as everything that was written was relative to what I thought your question was and about a single subject.

I'm in this thread to state my opinion about it's subject matter. I did so. If you'd like more clarity: I don't think they should be spending more money on tooling or even just production of some other odd ball releases (no matter how much I would personally want it) when they should be spending their time and money on improving their molds.

They could make 20 or so varying weapons molds offer them in various decoes and group them and sell them in various ways and they would fly off the shelves...they should even have Targetmaster packs...

I'd be content with them selling a box set/s with reused weapon molds - there's plenty to choose from.

my idea: at the deluxe pricepoint sell a two pack of Targetmasters/Action Master partners, then fill out the rest of the pricepoint with a Recon Ironhide's worth of extra weaponry

I would be all for packs of weapons for figures to be made and sold.
I am in a constant state of experimenting with the 5mm peg system and I find arming my figures up for display to be a nice pass time. The problem with this is that the figures usually disarm another in the process of being armed. The figures that go without weapons feel a little plain for me. The Legends figures also have a tendency to be weighed down by their partners and can look silly holding them as a weapon. I think these things can be helped out if I can hand a pistol I have in a pencil box to the nearest unarmed robot.

I'd be all for some weapon/accessory packs because there are quite a few TF releases that would have been so much better than an extra weapon or two like Classics 1.0 BB or Gen FoC Soundwave(blaster).

The hard part would be just how to market it. I could see this mainly appealing to the collectors, so to try to sell just a straight up pack in store, they would more than likely shelf warm. So Hasbro can either try to market them like Matty does with MOTU weapon sets and make them exclusive to HasbroToyShop or in future Generations include 3-4 as maybe a bonus pack in.

It's odd they do tons for girls toys, I think the last Hasbro accessory packs were those Star Wars ones from the prequels unless I'm forgetting in another boy line.
