The PR may be spotty and some other issues we all know about but FunPub does give us some really great Transformers! I agree, an enjoyable convention every year. They really do give a great variety of characters in their exclusives. I think they've done an excellent job considering the limitations in characters, molds and story. Not every figure is going to be a homerun, but for every person who dislikes a choice made, another person loves it. A tip of the hat to them trying to please and fandom that isn't easily able to please.
Agreed man. I've had Kick-Off chilling next to me the last few weeks. They've really created a ton of great toys. I think I've got 3/4ths of everything they've ever made. I should actually count.
I wish FP would take ALL of their toys and put them in a box and shake them up and make a NEW continuity from which to spring their stories. They have plenty of toys to work with and I think they'd do great making a continuity that consisted only of FP toys.
I actually like FunPub's take on a lot of characters, and even though it gets a lot of flak, I enjoy the BotCon 2013 exclusives (granted, they were my first set of FunPub's figures )
I wasn't interested enough in this years assortment for the Subscription or Membership... but last years stuff was pretty nice... even if the wait was ludicrously long... Took quite a few pictures for the TFSS 1.0 stuff... and the Depth Charge Freebie: And lastly... one for a good laugh:
I've always liked FunPubs figures. My top 3 are Sideburn, MW Starscream, and TFSS Scourge. My first figure was 2009 Kup. Also have to mention the Animated Stunticons, Depthcharge, Dion, and the Sweeps. These are just figures that I own.
Great idea for a thread. Let's kick off my contributions with this one, the sig I could never get small enough to pass the file restrictions.
I was just thinking I should make a big display with nothing but TCC figures. Might have to start that tomorrow.
I don't have many because I just can't justify the price for most of them. The last 2 I snagged were Metalhawk and Gigatron since they still cost way less than it would be to acquire their vintage G1 counterparts. I know the Metalhawk figure got a lot of hate but I was happy just to have a representation of Metalhawk in my collection.
I just want to take a moment to say that the red to orange gradient effect on the Rampage figure is fresking GORGEOUS. I still don't know how they got the paint to line up over the shin pieces- did they assemble them and then paint them? Also, this thread makes me further regret not buying SG Driftpool.
Got my TFSS 2.0 Barricade last night. Had the chance to transform it just once time, but the colors of this thing are impressive. I love the attention to detail they gave including the "punish and enslave" quote." Damn that makes the toy. The legs are pretty loose on mine, I'll need to put some future on the ball joints to fix the issue. Overall, this is a home run for the Club IMO. This should be a figure that is in demand for a time to come.
I totally agree with both of you. FP's really hitting it out of the park with the decos on these new TFCC figures.

I've collected several TFCC figures over the years, and while some were a bit disappointing in hand (Punch/Counterpunch), I've definitely enjoyed several of their figures - SG Prime, SG Megatron, SG Starscream, SG Drift, Scourge to name a few.
