I have SoundBlaster & Ratbat because they were actual on-screen G1 characters. Pass on Diaclone, G2, black Convoy, black Rodimus, YotH, Acid Storm, Sunstorm... On-screen G1 characters only is my MP collection criteria.

I might buy one, but if it came with a trailer I would want a Magnus trailer rather than the Prime trailer of course.

While I would've been perfectly happy with a white Prime MP-22, I don't need a white Prime that can't armor up, so a repeat of MP-02 in the MP-10 mold would be a pass.

No. I don't mind the white Optimus being included with Ultra Magnus armor but I didn't have any interest in buying a white Masterpiece Optimus ten years ago, and I don't have any interest in buying one now.

Yes, but only if it came w/ the Magnus armor.

So far, no. Takara has confirmed MP-22 IS NOT an MP-10 retool.

That being said.. Looking over the prototype images, I don't see anything to suggest that Hasbro couldn't release a "G1 Toy accurate" version using MP-10. Granted we have not seen ANY of his transformation steps, so I could very well be wrong.. But, I can't see anything (in said images) to suggest Hasbro can't replace the white cab w/ a white Prime and add-on UM head.

Check the Ultra Magnus Prototype thread in News & Rumors. LiamPope did an amazing job figuring out the broad strokes of his transformation and posted some great diagrams. A white MP-10 is incompatible in both bot mode and alt mode (the clearances are not the same).

Yes! This is one of those rare cases I would like a homage to the G1 toy, and white MP10 Magnus would be awesome! Most of the time I'm all about cartoon accuracy, but why not have my cake and eat it too? I'm getting MP22 already.

Hell no, I would not buy a lazy white repaint. I never have before, and I sure as hell wouldn't now when we are about to get a real Ultra Magnus.

Thanks for the heads up. I admit, I check that thread once in a while, but not nearly as often as I should.

I've actually become a huge fan of the MP10 mold with the two recolors that have come out. MP10b blows the cartoon colors out of the water and YOTH, for all the "bling", also looks better than the cartoon colors. So, yeah, i'd buy a white MP10 as well. It's a great mold and putting some different colors on it is a good way to fluff the line.

I bought Soundblaster because he is a show character and came with Ratbat, but I passed on MP10B because, while he's awesome looking, I don't have the shelf space for an non-canon character. I agree a G2/UM redeco would be way better then the ugly as hell YOTH figure, which I don't understand why it gets any praise.

For me its WAY more a shelf-space thing then a money thing. We're getting a true Ultra Magnus already, I don't really have the place for another one that doesn't look like he does in any of the other media. If we weren't getting MP22, then I probably would buy him. But as is, especially with the Eva-01 MP10 (which I'll buy the hell out of for being an awesome crossover), Bumblebee and Wheeljack still coming out I need to limit my shelf space for MPs!

    No.

Unless he comes with a trailer that turns into armor, I have no interest in "white" Prime on his own.

I'd buy an official MP-10 painted equal to TCrackers Magnus quicker than a 2 dollar hooker doing...

    Errr.. self composure.

On topic, yes I want.. his custom is gorgeous!!!

As a stand alone figure, hell no. But if it came with a trailer which was a dead ringer for MP-22's, in screen accuracy and functionality and the trailer could merge with it, like the G1 toy, and produce an Ultra Magnus that is even more screen accurate than MP-22 and scales better with MP-10 than MP-22 does, I'd definitely be interested. If all those conditions aren't met, it'll definitely be a pass.

There is no reason for such a thing to exist when there is MP22.

Nope. Ultra Magnus deserves his own mold.
