except no one has this figure...i dont care what you find curious the point is it's hard to find no one has it there's a strange documented shortage on it. you're the only one in this thread saying that...everyone else knows about the shortage.
As I stated in the PM it's just not practical. I'd have to sell each one for probably $30 or more just to not go into actually losing money on it. It's like $16.99 per figure and will probably cost $15+ just to ship. It's ridiculous. It's well known here that it's harder for us up here in Canada to help fellow TF Fans in the US. It just sucks cause I would really like to help fellow fans out. I know what it's like to get screwed over. I wouldn't have gotten an MP-10 (Hasbro) so easily if it wasn't for fellow members here helping. Since there wasn't any in stores here at all. There are figures up here of him. Not rows and rows but I've seen a bunch. Of course it's the Canadian (Non comic) version but yeah. So some places/people do have the figure. Heck I got my order from BBTS filled. So... yeah. Some people ARE getting it. It just seems the the US got short changed or something...
This is a grosser hyperbole than the "90%" thing. Seriously, "no one has it"? Yes, there's a crazy shortage of that wave, but dude. I bought Skids at retail. I've seen Skids at retail at least three more times aside from the trip I bought him on. "No one has it," good lord.
I bought one for a friend, one for myself and returned one due to it being defective. Aside from that, I saw four others in the wild. It's been awhile, but they were around, and this area even has crappy distribution.
In my area each wave of Generations deluxes seems to hit once and then vanish. I grabbed Skids an Waspinator the first time I saw them, and haven't seen a single one of either since. Grabbed Scoop, Armada SS, and the Mini-con Assault Team when I first saw them, haven't seen them since. A couple of Skywarps are still hanging out at Target, but those are literally the ONLY Generations deluxes I've seen anywhere recently.
As I have mentioned before in the thred: 1.) I think Skids will come back in a later revision wave. 2.) Hasbro probably decided to stop churning out more skids than his wavemates (makes sense given the pattern of restocking of that wave-Skids seemed to be restocked less often than his wavemates) because of the reported widespread QC issue with the missassembled hips/ legs. I remember when FOC Grimlock and Springer/ Blitzwing were not produced in large numbers iniitally. But both were released again in later waves and now they are pretty easy to find at multiple stores. I wouldn't give up hope on a similar thing happening for Skids.
I managed to find Wave 2 all at retail (only twice, ever) and one Dreadwing, but that's been it since Beast Hunters ended. I ended up buying Skids online for more than double retail... luckily, I REALLY like the figure enough to suck it up and forget about it. He's not a $30 figure, objectively, but I'm glad I got him. I'll get Crosscut, too, if I can find one. The shoulders, though... blech. I have one loose shoulder that I tried to tighten with floor polish. It tightened the articulation a LITTLE bit, but it tightened the slide for transformation a LOT. Now it's scary to pull it out. I'm wondering if I should just buy another now in case mine breaks so I don't need to pay a fortune to replace him later. Jury's still out on that.
In my TRU,I found wave 2 and wave 3 but Skids was the only one not found and it goes the same for my Target.I haven't checked at Walmart so I might as well look.Wish me luck.
I don't think we will be seeing Skids in another wave anytime soon. Crosscut will be using the mold at the moment. He will just end up being one of those rare figures imo. Get them while you can if you want him.
I think you'd be better off saying your part of Canada got it, rather than the whole country - I haven't seen it at all in E-Town. Not Target, not Wal-Mart, not TRU, not London Drugs that sometimes gets weird stuff in, not even the overpriced "collector" stores. So, less'n there's a very active scalping enterprise out here, distribution is being unequal.
That wave has been dumped heavily here in Western Canada. In contrast, we've been pretty bad with other stuff. Hasbro distribution and store ordering do not complement each other very well. The cybertron.ca boards would help you out alot with sightings.

I also have found Skids wave on three separate occasions in S. CA Walmarts. They didn't last long as I bought most of what I saw. I had no idea he was so under-distributed.
I had to resort to having a fellow Canadian mail me one as well (hopefully arriving tomorrow). The northern half of my province didn't seem to get the wave (based on the members I've spoken with). Not being able to easily get a replacement does make me a bit trepidatious with doing the hip swap, though...
