there is no such thing as a near mint condition complete g1 skyfire.....................because no Skyfire toy was ever made vfor the G1 toyline. However, there was a Jetfire.
With or without packaging? I scored one for $100 complete with package minus tech spec about a year and a half ago.
I don't trust eBay as a resource for market prices. Too easy to artificially inflate prices. I have recently seen a complete jetfire in fair condition with all parts go for 140. With the box about 250. They can reach high prices though.
sorry i only called it skyfire because i heard hasbro has to call it that for trademark reason. just in case you dont know what im talking about, imeant the 1985 jetfire that was a redeco of a macross. its complete with most accecories and in practically pristine white condition. but no packaging. the reason im asking is beczuse i found one for a few dollars at a thrift shop and i wanted to sell it
not exactly because of trade mark issues.......you are confusing the reason they changed the design of the character with the reason they changed the name of the character.
Jetfire has never been KO'd. First of all, congratulations on snagging a Jetfire for a few bucks if it's indeed in excellent condition. I'd say the first thing you need to do is figure out which accessories you have and which ones you don't, since that will determine what someone would want to pay for it. Then I'd suggest taking some photos of it to either post here, eBay, or wherever you plan to sell it.
Lucky! Only TF I've found at a thrift store is Cybertron (Normal, not Defense) Red Alert. He seems to be missing the front part of his vehicle mode though. That's it, I'm going to more thrift stores.
That is a GREAT price. I won a MIB unused decals on the bay 7 years ago missing the gun clip for $135. Totally unused, minty bone white with bone white insert. Box has a flap crease but is in real good condition.
I see a lot of Jetfires go for less than $100 loose and in good condition now and then depending on how many are available at one time, it is not by ANY MEANS a rare toy. However, it is very sought after because in my opinion, it's one of the best toys we got in Generation 1. Boxed ones tend to be $160 upwards if in any sort of respectable condition, and certain variations (with Macross symbols on the wing) can be around $150+ loose and $250+ boxed. I received a MIB unused untouched white Matsushiro Macross wing-symbol Jetfire recently in a c8 box, and the trade value for that was approximately $500, and that's the most desirable variant. For your loose one, I'd say you would do well if you got $100 - $140, but it would have to be really nice with good paint, good stickers if any, no damage on armour pieces and no discolouration. Here's a good guide for you. sold listings on eBay: transformers g1 jetfire | eBay Also, please be clear when selling. Saying things like "complete with most accessories" is a contradiction in terms All the best Maz
