If someone is willing to spend that, thats their problem...doesn't make them an idiot. $80 though is ridiculously high.
I was going to pay that and 20$ more just to be sure someone else doesn't get it before, but now that you called me an eeeediot, I am going to have to rethink about my life... j/k, is it really sold for 80$ though ? Might as well just buy SoundBlaster and keep it in alt mode or something.
You're certainly allowed to disagree with a seller's asking price, but you're indirectly disparaging another member here. If this person wants to sell MP Ratbat at that price, let them. It's up to the buyers to decide if it goes for that price.
I am just waiting for a KO to be released. Just give it time. But people are going to ask for $80, they know they can get it.
That's what our lovely board members are selling it for. And I apologize for the idiot remark. It's just insane that people will pay that much. I guess I like to use my brain, It just makes sense to buy the whole set.
Not surprised. People are more likely buying soundblaster to get ratbat. Those who want soundblaster will probably be keeping ratbat so ratbat will have a higher price.
Transformers Masterpiece MP13B Soundblaster - import from Japan Still available at $110 + shipping for the pair. If you're going to spend $80 for Ratbat alone, do yourself a favor and just buy the set at $135, and sell off Soundblaster if you really can't stand him. If you're a seller and can get $80 for Ratbat? I got no issue with it. I wouldn't call names, though I might have low opinions that I'll keep to myself.
Ratbat will definitely be selling for that price after market, but you're right. If the set is available for just a little more, get the set. Get 2! Hold onto em for a year and ratbat will be selling for 100+, soundblaster is harder to predict its value as its more of a select market than Soundwave was.
But what's the going price on Soundblaster? Any reason to think the difference would actually be made up? The supply of Soundblaster and Ratbat is exactly equal. It seems the demand is not. Also, there's the adage "time is money". If someone only wants Ratbat, why should they buy the pair to then be tasked with wasting their time with the work of unloading Soundblaster? It may make sense to some to follow your plan. It probably makes sense to others to follow a different plan. For me.... I'm not worried about him, so I'm content to see if/how/when Hasbro releases a Ratbat.
We've seen a LOT worse price jacking than this - not sure how or why this one needs to get focused on. I need 2 Ratbat's, so I have no choice but to wait for something... possibly... unofficial. Ahem.
I think selling Ratbat for 80 is unreasonable...greedy even. 50 max I get. Curious, what do you guys think is reasonable?
Initial prices seem to be in the $80-$100 range, but it's too early to tell for either him or Ratbat. There aren't enough out there and very little completed transactions to get a baseline yet. I'm not saying my way is better, it's just an option. It worked out well for me because I think Ratbat is the weakest of the MP tapes, not worth $50 much less $80. Soundblaster was a surprise, I like him more than I thought I would and for $135 I think the set was a great purchase. If the aftermarket prices stay that way for Soundblaster, then it's certainly an option people should look at while it is still available.
I've got 2 Ratbats, no chance I'm selling but If the KO makers are smart they should sell it for a premium price. They'd make a killing. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of Hasbro bringing Soundblaster/Ratbat over for about $80. Just wait for that.
Said that a week ago in the MP Soundblaster Feedback thread. Ratbat is the only unique piece here. Soundblaster is, in all honesty, still obscure in the western market.
