Hey, just wondering...since its release how many months did MP soundwave popped up at your local TRU before they were gone? Is it still available at any TRU stores?

the reason i'm asking is because I saw one at a TRU last week, ONLY one though and it was opened and retaped, box was mangled pretty bad.

They disappeared by the end of the day they arrived. There was a period of 6-8 weeks when my TRU would get 2-4 in every shipment day (twice a week) then they stopped coming. So last sighting for me was probly September.

There are none out in stores now.

 

Zero months, I'm pretty sure he sold out in a couple of weeks, and no, I don't think you'll be able to find any on store shelves anymore.

 

Eh, I still see one or two floating around sometimes. Not sure why. Maybe 3 months?

 

I never seen him at my TRU. Not once. Acid storm on the other hand........there's A Lot.

 

I think I saw him a month ago in a TRU here in Manila. It's mostly Acid Storm nowadays.

 

Each store will be different. (IE- Just because 1 store is out, doesn't mean every store is out) Best bet to find 1, might be super stores like the Times Square store for example. Otherwise, it'll be hit-or-miss everywhere else.

My store in MA was lucky to get 2-3 cases every 3 weeks. We haven't had him since early Dec. Had maybe 2 Acid Storms, 1 YOTH Optimus, and 3 YOTH Starscreams left as of this morning.

 

Never saw one in my TRU. I bought mine from my buddy.

 

Geez, sounds like a return. I'm surprised they took back an expensive piece like MP Soundwave in that type of condition.

 

The only reason I ever saw and got one was because I got a heads up from a fellow collector. Showed up before they opened and got mine. One to a costumer and they were not on the shelves, but had to request them at the front counter. They were gone in two days. That was the first restock and they never restocked again after I got mine.

 

I hit about 4 different TRUs on a regular basis and about 2-3 others occasionally because I also collect other toylines. I saw one MP-SW on the shelf at a TRU I don't normally hit. Never at one of my regular stores. I heard they were keeping them behind the counter at customer service. Since I was able to get one off the website, I never asked if they had any.

 

Glad they at least enforced the '1 per customer' rule to limit scalpers

 

The TRU we have restock Soundwave a few times. I was able to get one from the site, 2 from a TRU in Franklin TN, and 1 from the one he have in Huntsville. I never bought into the notion when the Soundwave was going to be on sale it was going to be at 9 am. The past MP exclusives(Grimlock and Rodimus when up at like 4-5 in the morning central time.

 

If you're looking fot it call their online customer service. They should be able to locate it if its anywhere...
Btw, what is the msrp of this guy?

 

Pretty sure it was 119.99 in Canada, and I only saw two in the store.

 

The only time i ever saw it was at a comic ans toy store 50 miles away for $175 when it was still available in stores. Wish id had the $ to pay at that time and the foresight to know id never see it elsewhere.

 

The local TRU to me had about 6 in stock and about the same no of Acid Storm.

Soundwave stock probably lasted around 2-3 weeks.
