I can't be the only one who sees that it would, seemingly, be very easy to retool/repaint Windblade into Slipstream right? She's got the right alt mode basically. She's got a feminine bot mode. All she needs is a new head and paint. Or am I crazy?
I'd rather see her as an extensive retool. The problem is slippy needs to look somewhat like her seeker brothers. Maybe stick some f15 wings on there, give her a fake canopy chest. Could be pretty sweet. Nightbird is an excellent candidate as well but hasbro seems to have forgotten she exists.
I won't disagree that the canopy chest is important but a) we haven't seen the figure in hand yet so it is possible, unlikely but possible, that something could be done with it. B) if it was this or nothing, I think I'd be okay with this.
The TFCC figure is exactly that and it's ok but honestly in the video game her chassis is much more similar to Windblades' and she looks better for it.
OMG are you guys psychic - cause I was saying to myself "call me when you do a PROPER Slipstream retool and repaint" - freaky man, freaky
Slipstream is the only logical step I feel. Retool the wings and a new head, hell, that's all I'd need for my Slipstream. She doesn't NEED to look like the Seekers, so I'm okay with her being her own jet.
Ideally with new wings, chest and head. Although in an ideal world this would've happened the other way around. Windblade would've been the Slipstream retool.
I had the same idea last year when she was first shown to us. Like the others said some retooling on the head and wings will do wonders.
1) Slipstream in WFC shared similarities to the basic Seeker body-type, but was not the same. I could see Windblade being used to equal effect as a Slipstream. 2) Nightbird never was a Cybertronian or Transformer.
If the Windblade mold is gonna be reused, I feel the only logical choice would be to make her into Slipstream. So? That doesn't somehow lock the concept of making her Cybertronian out of existence. Make her a Decepticon and a remold of Arcee. Boom. You know, kinda like Impossible Toys did... except not a QC disaster.
Literally, everyone I've talked to who is enthused in customs has brought up Windblade as Slipstream since the toys reveal.
New head, new wings, new deco Slipstream done. It's been brought up since before we ever saw a figure, just the comic images.
