Can anyone ID this transforming lion orb/sphere?

I've had this sitting around my toy office for quite sometime now and never really knew much about it. I can't even remember where I got it. All I know is that it's similiar to my BWII lion Eggbot keychain. I've seen pics of the original Takara release (Microchange?), but I can't find any markings on the one I have.

It's in good shape, no chrome flaking and fairly tight joints. I stuck it up on eBay last night, but I'd like to add to the item description if someone can help me out. Thanks...

long ago the mold first saw light as MC-15, Metal Lio from the Micro Man line. it has been re-issued a few times and also redone by other companies here in america and in europe. not sure what version that one is though maybe this can help though.

Cool website! Am I the only one that sees a resemblance between the Meteor robo guy in the picture on the site and Unicron's Deadend Minicon? Also I wish I still had my Transformer watch. And Takara PLEASE reissue Browning!!!

I got the little orb man at Botcon for a measly $1-2. He's a little loose and he doesn't have the guns, but the chrome is in remarkably good shape considering he's probably been tossing around in various boxes loose for 20-odd years. Makes you wonder why the hell chrome on modern toys chips so damn easy.

He makes a nice snack for Unicron.

I wish I could find one of the Metal men ones. Even if it's the BWII Re-issues. I can never find those. Point me out to the auction on the lion, might be interested in that as well.

A lot of the microman toys that didn't make it in the TF line are really cool, but I can see why some of them didn't get used as TFs, for the most part.

I would love to own all that microman stuff. I wish they substituted Browning for megatron in America.
