Everywhere I've read about the reissue jets, it says they've had their launching mechanisms disabled, which I take to mean they don't "shoot" at all, period. However, the launchers that came with my reissue Skywarp and Thundercracker all "shoot", and with pretty good force behind them, as well. Was this a running change that no one has mentioned/noticed? The figures were quite obviously NOT returns, so I know it wasn't a case of some one buying them, modifying the launchers, and then returning them (Why go through all that trouble of modifying then returning? Makes no sense.) for some one to purchase them later, 2 or 3 months apart at that. (I bought Skywarp first, then T-cracker a couple of months later.)
Anyway, any help to clear this up would be nice/appreciated! |

Somebody is probally confused with the reissues that have had the launching mechanisms disabled, such as the US versions of Hoist and (I think) Inferno. |

The thing that still confuses me is what brought me to post: I was toolin' around on Fred's Varients pages and read the page on the jet variations. On that page he has a (small) section for the reissues and said (paraphrasing here) that the launching mechanisms were disabled as well as having "missles on steroids". That inspired me to get out my reissues and check their launchers and then to start this thread. It kinda makes me wonder if the people who have written reviews for them have actually opened the boxes and fiddled/played with the figures at all.... |
