Well.. I spent 4 hours tonight taking apart and figuring out how to fix the leg flop (not entirely as if you did you wouldn't be able to move his legs or knees).

Hopefully it helps you guys out.

    Shopping List:

    Bulldog Hardware NW-275
    Flat Washer Kit ($2.47 Walmart)

    Hillman Nylon Washers
    1x13/32x1/16 ($0.94 Lowes)

    Phillips Screw Driver reg and
    precision (Fairly long shaft)
    A Dremel with sanding tool

Thanks mods for fixing the title (guess I was tired when I made this last night). Giving it a bump here so people see the topic with the right title.

I wonder if it would just be easier to find stiffer springs

They are some pretty large springs. I suspect it wouldn't be easier (or cheaper) to find stiffer springs that are appropriately sized as it is to make up shims.
And you'd still have to take metroplex apart which is probably 90% of the hassle.

Another option is you can stretch the spring out, but that's a non-reversible fix, and if you stretch the spring too much you could cause problems.
Shims are definitely the way to do it without risking metroplex.

I would also worry about wearing out those teeth or stripping them. I wonder if some good old crotch lube (Hercule's owners will know what I mean) would also be needed.

What's wrong with the electronics? Mine worked fine so I wouldn't even know what to look at. That said, chances are you're going to have to take him apart to fix anything with the electronics.

Those gears actually are lubed up already. I didn't mention it in the video.
If you worry though you could always add a little more.

I'm going to do the fix but can't find the Bulldog washer kit. I found an old black washer for the knee fix, but it's 1/8 inch thick. Do you remember how thick were the Bulldog washers?

    Thanks.

Can't seem to find any of the hardware necessary to do this fix. Do they have to be nylon? Do you have a link?

I picked up this multi pack of washers (some nylon) at Walmart for pretty cheap.
