I was one of the people who bought acid storm on toysrus's ebay website. I also had my order cancelled and my money refunded.
Imagine my shock when this showed up on my door step today.

Well, I was really excited. Then I realized I hadn't actually paid for this item. So I called TRU and they are sending me a return label to ship it back. I asked if I could just be charged for it but they said since they technically can't sell it before the 18th, they needed me to return it.

Damn. They say what goes around, comes around. This better get me some good karma in the future.

Wow. I hope that happens to me with Soundwave. What I'd do if I were you is keep it until the 18th, then call them back and work something out. At that point they will be able to sell it to you, and there shouldn't be any problems.

Edit: Oh, and since you have it, is there a window on that box under the slip cover?

I wouldn't return crap, and while I am vehemently against people ripping stores off and pulling shady hijinx, this was clearly a GIGANTIC error on their part they need to be accountable for. Return it? Um, no, wait until street date, and if your heart hasn't changed offer to pay again. Or not.

Screw TRU, they need to get their shipping/receiving depts in order big time.

As much as I'm into being honest, I'd have to agree with this. It was their fault that they shipped it out in the first place, and they don't bother to reattribute anything to you.

Can you confirm whether or not it has a flip-lid front? A lot of people are/were expecting that for Soundwave.

 

Kinda makes me wonder who else is going to be getting a surprise in the mail? The Acid Storms came after the first batch of Soundwaves, so potentially everyone who ordered a Soundwave in the first batch could have one on their way.

Well, they already said they are sending me a return label to my email address. I guess If I don't get one, I will just keep it, but they said it could take 24-48 hours. If I don;t get it, I will just keep it. But I also wont be opening it for a month if I don't return it, just in case.
Me being honest and returning it wasn't even a question. Regardless if the company is shit or not, I was brought up that if you didn't pay for it, you don't keep it. So I had to return it.

And they want you to send it back? By the time they get it back, it could be the 18th! Keep it and just pay them on the 18th. This kind of bullshit shouldn't go unpunished.
