Dude, I was just trying to find out what the real information actually was and move the conversation along. A conversation of "I think it's intentional." "Well, I don't think it's intentional." "Well I do think it's intentional." is not worth having.

If you have something more to contribute besides things you've already said, I'd love to hear it.

I'd also love it if a discussion was respectful and not sarcastic when there isn't anything else to say either.

I'm not taking this "seriously", but you seem to be responding in a very "touchy" manner to me simply having the opinion that it's not intentional and wanting to find out what is "real" and what is "hearsay" so that I can make an informed opinion. Since, I do think it is interesting, so I'd like to hear more info about it.

(Jeez... who's taking this "seriously"?... 1 person (me) says they don't think it's intentional and in 5 minutes you have to respond "I think it is!" and basically nothing more... )

But if you're going to criticize me on that, at least please note I took no issue with the validity of your statement: "I think it's intentional." I was wondering about more information(not even saying they weren't true) about these statements: "Didn't someone else make the connection that Bantor inspired the deco for the Laserback redeco that's forthcoming?" & "...it's basically established.."


Hey, the similarities between Ripclaw & Razorclaw are cool, and I think it's cool you spotted that. I just don't see why it's important for it to be intentional. I think it'd be "cooler" for yourself if you spotted such a similarity that wasn't even planned.

 

I noticed the Dinobot nods the first time I saw Ratchet. It's pretty cool.

 

Oops... I just was looking back through this thread and realized I never responded to your question. Sorry! Anyhow, yup, I have a complete collection of original U.S.-released Battle Beasts (no monochrome Greek variants or anything), along with bases and chariots (though the deer chariot has seen better days, and the bases could used some re-stickering).

I don't have the Laser Beasts, though; much as I like them, they don't have the nostalgic connection for me that would justify spending the crazy money necessary to get them. Maybe some day. I also have all the non-translucent modern Beast Saga figures, which are a great throwback... still waiting for a squid or octopus to show up in that line, though.  

 

Now that you guys are finding BH Ratchet (aka Reformatted Dinobot???) on the shelves, I thought there might be some renewed interest in this trend.

Personally, I dig it!

 

I think BH Dreadwing is a bit of an homage to Beast Machines Jetstorm and Silverbolt. He has those silly feathers which BW Silverbolt had and his nosecone has something of birds beak vibe going on and of course he has birds feet. His primary colors appear to be BM Jetstorm mixed with some BW Silverbolt on his wings, robot head and nosecone.
Now all we need is a Tankor repaint of BH Shockwave with a new head and a Thrust repaint of BH Arcee with a new head and we'll be sorted.

Anyone who uses the words "Beast Wars Razorclaw" and "Cool" in a thread title is a rad dude, so I approve.

Too bad Ripclaw isn't in THE superior translucent blue and orange like the original Razorclaw.
