I'm not even a fan of Trypticon, I'll be buying 2 metros just because it's Metroplex. Maybe I'll pick up Trypticon if they make him.
Oh, I think Hasbro will have the lack of knowledge of Metroplex covered. The Deluxe 30th anniversary figures at least each are coming with their own little Spotlight comic, all of which supposedly link to Metroplex.
and also, Fall of Cybertron in all likelyhood we won't see a Titan Trypticon, because according to Hasbro Kids/Parents don't like toys of the villains. I highly doubt we'll see a 125 dollar toy of a bad guy. after all we never got any Leader class Decepticons for Dark of the Moon, there aren't any Prime Weaponiser Decepticons. so yeah, If Metroplex isn't a one off deal, then our Next Titan class toy will most likely be a TF 4 Bumblebee or Optimus Please prove me wrong Hasbro, nothing would make me happier
Would totally be down for one. And it'd be ridicilously easy to have one that transforms into the Nemesis.
Ouch, I didn't see that. Good point. *SIGH* Are ENER-Megatron/Galvatron, CYB-Megatron/Galvatron the biggest modern villian figures we've gotten since G1 Scorponok? I'm not counting ENER-Bruticus and Constructicon Maximuses. True too.....Metrotitan would be an easy way out. But it's still a repaint, instead of a new mold.
I don't believe this will happens. Optimus Maximus is an ugly toy that looks (and is) horrible and hollow. I can't see someone wanting to buy it. I bought all Prime Cyberverse stuff released in Brazil, but can't spend my money on Optimus Maximus, even now, with him costing less than half of his original price. This. US$100,00 for a huge city-bot that have an amazing box art and looks very impressive, isn't expensive et al. Metroplex is the kind of toy that I would buy for my nephews. They will (at least) be able to play with an city/starship/huge-robot that already cames with a legends toy. I know that as soon Metroplex being in pre-order at BBTS I will buy at least one for me. Maybe two to have one in bot mode and other in starship or city mode. And when it (hopefully) arrives in Brazil I would buy another one to one of my nephews.
Luckily I knew better before clicking to think it wasn't about a confirmed release. On that note....PLEASE HASBRO!!! Trypticon would be A W E S O M E ! ! !
Titan Trypticon. yes, I'm crossing my fingers... Seriously, we need HUGE Decepticons. Can't be fair to have their Autobot counterparts having all the megachassis, right. In Cybertron/Galaxy Force, Metroplex/Megalo surpasses Menasor. Energon; Omega Supreme supasses every bloody Decepticons. Armada; Optimus+Jetfire+Overload supasses Megatron+Tidalwave. Where's justice in that?
At least we get a discounted Metroplex then if that happens. But yeah, we definitely need a Trypticon.
I have my doubts. If it wasn't for the anniversary, I don't think we'd even be seeing Metroplex. Another factor would be how well Ultimate Predaking sells. He's the first large Decepticon in a couple of years. If he sells poorly, I doubt that Hasbro would consider Titian Trypticon, even if Metroplex sells well.
I forsee that when Metroplex is released you will not be able to find one because they will be hot, hot, hot. QFT There is already talk about repainting Metroplex into a decepticon that would cost the same. Dispite ROTF Devestator being big, stupit looking and expensive it still sold out. Very quickly i might add. What about Unicron, Titalwave, FOC Bruticus or one of the many Movie Megatron's. Also while not a big ticket item the TF Kre-o line has more Decepticons then Autobots in it. Just because a company "gears" something towards kids that does not mean that only kids will buy it. When talking about price and parents you should really take a look at Lego. Lego is a power house that is way bigger then Hasbro and Mattel combined and there products sell for much larger amounts. You could drop $100 on Legos like nothing. If parents think it's worth it they will buy it for thier kids. I'm predicting that a Trypticon will be the main villan for TF4 and we will get a Titan class figure plus a ton of movie style Legion figures to go with him.
You never know, I mean, that's what happened with Armada Unicron wasn't it? but they still had Supremes in Energon and Cybertron.
I'll definitely buy him! But I agree with you...everything depends on how Metroplex sells. Anyway, I'm thinking since Metroplex is based on the WFC & FOC franchise, won't Tryticon be 'smaller' than Metroplex? The impression I get he's Omega Supreme sized.
