    Nope, those were G2.

I should have some fun contributions arriving by midweek, hopefully, though they lean more toward the G1.5 side of G2.

I love Space Case's blue head, but it just feels so delicate, like the paint might chip or wear off.

I love the bright colors of these guys, but oddly enough Starscream is my favorite! I also sold Grimlock and Volt a long time ago.

Scarily similar to my G2 redux set-up, I recommend a TFCC Action Master Thundercracker, he fits right in with a couple of stickers. And make yourself a G2 Sideswipe and Jazz already!

I have a Shattered Glass collection where Thundercracker belongs. I don't really like transporting characters from one universe to another. Though I am considering plucking Botcon Animated Sideswipe from the Animated shelf into the G2 Redux shelf...

I stopped collecting Shattered Glass when I got really into the G2 side of things, it just got confusing with repurposing and customs as to what set each toy would go into, and I didn't fancy having three of most toys (Classics, SG, G2). In the end I canned SG and concentrated on the garish neon love of G2. I'm all about repurposing though, my G2 Megs is the US Nerf classics Megs toy with a G2 sticker, tell me those colours don't fit perfectly!

I have a question and was wondering if any G1.5/G2 collectors can help.

I have two of the Predators arriving later this week and I know there's a fragility/breakage issue with the Predator launchers that each one has (the hand-held ones for the jets and I think Stalker too). What I haven't seen clearly explained is what triggers the breakage:

    • Are they so fragile you should just avoid holding them at all?
    • Is it where they peg into the hands of each figure (meaning they can break off at the peg if you try and take it out)?
    • Is it simply putting the missile in the launcher?
    • Or is it actually trying to fire the launcher that causes it to break/explode?

Hopefully someone can help so I know how to handle these once they arrive (if I should be handling the launchers at all).

    Yes.

    The launchers are brittle.

My experience has been that the peg broke into the figure's hand.
I've been advised to remove the missile to take the pressure off of the launcher and mechanism. I imagine the whole launcher is overly breakable if you are not careful.

That said, for display, I have not had a problem.

Nice, I love Stalker, the run he came from was amazing. I originally had these as a full set (sealed) of Machine Wars toys, but I fell in love with the neon colour scheme, sold them and bought the "proper" colours. Rotorstorm was the last one I got, he was MISB until this happened:

Transform! ...into a Geek: Not for MISB collectors...

My G2 Slingshot died a painful death from Gold Plastic Syndrome recently.

Does anyone have a picture of G2 Superion with a G1 Slingshot? I'm wondering if this would work, or just look terrible.

    I do!

Thinking of customizing a G1 Slingshot into a gold mock G2 version.

I actually own some of those! Your G1-G2 collection's always impressed the hell out of me, so I feel proud when I own something that you do that's not a reissue or relatively "easy" to acquire.

Me too. Him and Rotorstorm are high on me "to get" list.
