Yours and mine both! To be fair, there are routinely much worse retool suggestions in the MP speculation thread, so I'm afraid it was all too believable...

I have to agree about Galvatron's alt mode. Even perfect animation creative licensing doesn't really help it IMHO. Cyclonus would totally work, but Scourge could go either way.

I would also settle for Masterpiece Autobot cassettes without a Masterpiece Blaster that would fit into regular G1 Blaster.

Then when Blaster does finally come, he would be packaged with Masterpiece Scrounge, who wouldn't be a cassette.

 

If they do a MP Blaster, then they just HAVE to include as accesories those big ass gold speakers he stuck on his hands and used as sound weapons against Soundwave in the "Autobop" episode.

 

I'd like Blaster eventually, but for me, I just hope that we get a new MP mold in 2013, or maybe even two distinct MP molds. That would be awesome. In some ways I don't even care who we get, as long as we get more MP molds that are on par quality wise with the latest MP Prime, Starscream and Sideswipe.

When you look back at MP releases, there were times when it took awhile for us to get new MP's. I think it's only been recently that we've been getting a more steady diet of MP mold releases.

 

They are probably going to do a MP Soundblaster.

In all seriousness though, I'd like to see a MP Blaster will appropriate remolds for the cassettes. Here's to wishing!

Just like the Nemesis Prime repaints, the comic colored Grimlock, Sunstorm, etc., I think it's all but a certainty that any MP Soundblaster repaint will be designated with an MP-13B type of catalog tag, be some sort of store exclusive, and not actually take the place of any main/new Masterpiece slots. Though it'll probably come with MP Ratbat to make it more enticing.

As far as I know MPs have no skeletons. Master and Perfect Grade models do, but MPs have no "skeleton" to retool. Maybe the company had the foresight of separating the joint parts onto their own mold.

Precisely. Each part is a unique design and shape, and fits together with other parts to create each mode. Having 'the same basic transformation' does not equal a 'retool' because each part has to be made from scratch anyway.

 

I think he should be made, but not the next MP. Stick in another major character or two and another Decepticon cassette pack or two first. I just think that those two should be spaced out to allow the line a bit of variety and to make it less harsh on people who want to get SW, cassettes, the certainity of a SB, Blaster, his cassettes, and a Twincast too. That's a lot of MP $$$.

 

Yes I agree Blaster should be the next MP. If now we have Soundwave, it would only be nice to see Blaster as well for a good and bad side type of think.
