Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone can explain if there's a difference between Photobucket & Flickr? I've been using Photobucket for years, but it always seems as if the pics aren't quite as nice once they're uploaded. Does anyone have any tips for better results? Or is Flickr the way to go?

Always use manual settings. You won't get the quality of pics using auto.

Photos uploaded with Photobucket always lose quality. Use something like flickr that will maintain your photos quality when uploaded.

 

Actually as long as you keep it under 1mb there is an option to keep the quality. If you go into account settings > album settings > view upload options, then click the radial checkbox that says " Best possible quality (while staying 1mb or less)" you should be straight.

PB made this very easy to do years ago when I first signed up there (think it just used to be a simple option when you were uploading), but it seems like they've buried it now. Still works good for anything under 1mb though. They won't resize or jack your quality.
