This custom never fails to impress, and the blu really does wonders for it's color scheme. It manages to make it "pop" even though it's a darker red. Awesome stuff.

The FOC's bot form is better than I thought but I still don't like the alt mode.

    Hey Brr-icy,

Get him! That is what I use him for and I love him.

What camera are you using. Also, what manual adjustments do you have?

    What I would recommend:
1- Use a light tent or make one if your not already. That should help with the hot spots / uneven lights. But I would strongly recommend buying one vs. building one. It's worth the $40 if you want to take pics.

If you cannot, maybe move the lights away just a bit.

2- Use the Macro setting, if you have that available. That should help with sharpness.

3- If you have manual settings play with your Aperture / Shutter Speed
    - I like to take pics between 2.2 to 3.5 for my pics and adjust the shutter speed as I see fit, or moving the lights around to get better lights.

The lower the better the sharpness and the more the little details can be picked up. 2.2 tends to work well for single figure, 3.5 for more figures.

4- ISO 80 all the time if you can. Light box helps with that.

5- Most cameras default to evaluative light, but I prefer Spot. I think it focuses the camera better

6- I always like using the vivid setting on my camera as well. I think it makes the colors pop.

7- Always use auto white balance.

8- Use CFL lights if you can.
Get the ones that are rated daylight brightness. They are cool and give off a nice light. I believe they are rated 6500 if I am not mistaken.

From your pics, I think the main issue with your pics is the harshness of the light.

But realistically, need to know what camera you have before telling you what you can do.

^You've got Micron Legend Scourge, right? The grey seems to be much lighter than the parts-swapped nemesis Prime I have. Nice :D  Who is that dark blue one?

They look good :)  Alucard77 has given you very detailed advice and there's nothing else I can offer. If anything, I'd like to emphasise that the light to be kept a bit farther away or diffused more.

I want to post pics I've just taken, but the connection is lagging and I have to take my kids to the dentist for a checkup. There goes my free morning lol.

Well here goes my first attempt at this, I tried to follow what Alucard77 said in his post at the top of the page. Critique and advise welcome, I think I need more light and a better camera and a better box :lol . I have to admit though it is fun.

i'm using a samsung L100 point and shoot, it has a lot of settings for what it is

1 i'll try to fix in a few mins here with some new pics,
    2, 3, 4, i do already.

5 i'll give a try to now, no vivid setting on the cam, and the white balance for some reason always goes yellow if i try auto, think it's partially because of my crappy 3rd lamp. the other two have cfl bulbs in them,

    Awesome set!

    Niiiiice.

Nice. A great deco of Armada's like... ONE awesome mold. Beautiful pics.

The following was a bit of an experiment with lighting. I wanted to show off his light piping while still highlighting the figure itself and keeping any sort of lens flaring to a minimum:
