Looks like the chinese version. Paint looks cream colored compared to the box image. I like that head better.

 

Can you connect his head sparks?

 

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, this looks like the classic "Oh shoot! I put the wrong mold on the machine...quick! let's package them up before anyone notices!" lol

 

I couldn't see a more recent thread for this lad but am thinking about getting him in the absence of any better MP Red Alerts, for now.

But i tend to go for toy versions and the toy MP seems to have a red head. Did anyone ever make a black one?

 

Thanks, I tried my best but couldn't get on with them. I like their Sunstreaker though. But yes, a bit too toon for me in any case.

 

Clampdown has a black head. It would be possible to do a head swap, if you felt like going to that level.

 

That's a good shout. I know they're not the same but i actually have a junker KO Sideswipe i could dissect if it came to it.

 

That would be a better idea, for toy accuracy. Sideswipe's ears are more like the original toy's than Clampdown's.

 

Thanks, i'll do that then. I knew i kept that Swipe hanging around for a reason! I'm away at the moment so can't check but guess it's just a typical ball joint and easy enough to yank off.
