But there's no reason to wonder. We know what the next three waves look like in multiple size-classes. That's really about the best we can expect in a side-line like this.

Cheapest DLX Soundwave I could find was 30 USD shipped from Asia to Europe\US. Heck, I actually had trouble selling MY Soundwave for 28 USD shipped.

In all honesty, I'm sure there will be at least one Megatron coming.

God, I sure hope it's finished soon. I was hoping we'd finally get a decent Generations toy of Soundwave with an Earth mode, or a new F-22 Seeker mold, but nope! We got bloated, ugly FOC designs with altmodes that kinda sorta look like vehicles if ya squint.

I wish we'd get some Headmasters era and beyond characters in the line since we've got so unearthly vehicles now...

I'm going to assume it's done until proven otherwise, and I really hope to be proven wrong. But if I'm right then I won't be disappointed.

Hasbro has been changing up lines like nobodies business.

Since I started collecting only 2 years ago I have seen so many different lines and class sizes come and go....

    Revenge of The Fallen
    Hunt To Find The Decepticons
    Generations
    Reveal The Shield
    Power Core Combiners
    Dark Of The Moon
    Human Alliance
    Transformers Prime RID
    Transformers Prime First Edition
    Generations 2012
    Cyberverse
    Masterpiece

And now we have these lines to look forward to

    Generations 2013
    TFP Beast Hunters
    TF4 (2014)

I still think some of those 40-50 were counting the asia turned tru exclusives since those are under the generations banner. If you count those plus the already released and soon to be released foc generations, that doesn't leave that much room for many other figures.

Yeah, I've always had a believe it when I see it attitude toward that statement. And even if they do release that many figures, how many will be repaints and botshots...?

None. Bot Shots are their own thing, and not under the Generations banner.

I do not believe that the GDO exclusives count; if the figure they quoted was accurate, it was made BEFORE they decided to import those figures under the assumption that they would be Asia-only and wouldn't count toward that number. That doesn't leave out the possibility that one or two of those figures may have shown up anyway as US Generations releases- especially those that had already been teased in the instructions of earlier US releases.

Yes, but if I remember right they never said what if any of those 40 to 50 would be exclusives, just that that was how many they planned on releasing. Technically if those had stayed asia exclusive hasbro would not have lied about the number of figures they were releasing its just that not all would have been available outside asia. I think that would explain why it was decided to try to get tru to carry them to avoid the rage that would follow if that had happened. But I might be wrong time will tell.

I think that 40-50 also includes the 4 types of Bruticus we have seen so far that in itself takes 20 figures out.

    Bruticus G2 5 Figures
    Bruticus SDCC 5 Figures
Bruticus Retail Color Scheme. 5 Figures
    G2 Jazz

SDCC Bruticus, G2 Bruticus, G2 Jazz and Combat Hero Optimus don't count. SDCC Bruticus and G2 Bruticus weren't under the Generations banner, and the Ultimate Gift Set isn't either. So, even counting the 13 you're talking about, which I wouldn't count the cassettes as part of just on a hunch, even counting them, plus the 13 you already own (since we're not counting G2 or SDCC Bruticus or the Ultimate Gift Set), that's 26. Out of, at a minimum, 35. That's still nine figures, which, at the "fan ideal" (read: eight different figures per case), is a wave plus one. Now, I'd put some stock in one of those nine being a FoC Megatron, but even then, that's still a new, at least somewhat desired figure.

So let's look at this. Counting EVERY figure we know of that is actually under the Generations banner, that's 26 figures. Figuring the MINIMUM that we'll get is 35 figures, new and repaints, across all size classes (this is a very conservative assumption), that leaves nine figures we know nothing about. If we assume that we're getting 40, that's 14 figures we don't know about. And if we assume that each repaint as opposed to a new figure gets us one closer to that 50, we hit 50 and keep going, up to 57 (there's 17 repaints, counting the retail version of FoC Bruticus; 12 if you don't count it).

Out of these 9-17 figures, one will most likely be a FoC Megatron, probably a deluxe. The only way we'd get a Voyager is if we also get a FoC Optimus as a voyager, which I'll grant isn't unlikely; Soundwave & Megatron vs Optimus & Grimlock. What could be in those other 7+ figures? The rest of the Dinobots? Maybe. Another Bruticus repaint? Unlikely, but I wouldn't be surprised to see another retailer exclusive version of it, possibly with one of the Ruination camo schemes (desert or arctic) (Note that "not surprised" isn't the same as "expecting it", only that it's an obvious choice if they want to milk the molds some more).

So if we, the fans, get the figures we most want (The other Dinobots, and a FoC Megatron AND FoC Optimus in Voyager scale, plus a FoC Megatron deluxe for those of us who are happy with the smaller size), that still leaves two figures, at the ABSOLUTE minimum, that we have no idea about. I'd be VERY surprised if neither of them are FoC figures, as the line is actually proving to be, for the most part, popular with fans, and it'd be odd to have a wave that's half FoC and half "traditional" classics.

Finally, a bit of speculation: I could easily see Hasbro doing full retools of all five of the Bruticus limbs into earth vehicles. None of them would be particularly difficult; Onslaught is actually the most unlike his "modern" altmode, and there's enough room in his design to work around that anyway. I've actually speculated that they were designed with this possibility in mind; Vortex, Blast-Off, and Brawl are already great candidates for getting reshelled by some talented customizer, and Swindle wouldn't be that much harder (his only real difficulty is his head).

^^ Good speculation. The last two figures I'm hoping that'll appear is WFC Arcee and Slipstream. I know that's very unlikely but still I can dream. If it's Thundercracker and Skywarp instead I'll be fine with it.

Me, I'm hoping on a US Skywarp that's the traditional black and purple, then I'll just use Takara Skywarp as Slipstream. I'm sure there'll be a 3rd party head for it any day now.
