Same here, except times the TRU stores by 3.

What the hell is up with the stocking on this toy? The distribution is awful and practically non-existent in New England.

If you don't like the price at TRU, go elsewhere.

Dude, we've been paying 20+ for a while now, approaching 30 in some stores, so whenever I see these threads I get very annoyed. People need to get over it, cause chances are there will be more increases.

First price jump didn't bother me that bad because I figured maybe we just lucky price held as long as they did. Wasn't too much on my must buy list so while I wasn't doing the impulse buys like I did I didn't really slow down all that much.

But darn hitting into that $16 to $19 range I'm going to have to really want a figure now before making a purchase. The really bad part is that I'm not sure that prices will stop there.

Here's the thing, just about nobody is willing to pay that much over here. So if prices keep raising then Hasbro may as well just stop making deluxes for the US market because we're just cheap bastards apparently. By the way these threads aren't going to be stopping any time soon, in fact expect even more of it in the near future.

That... and wages are different too. Just go to my visitor's messages and see how Aussie wages are more than those of the U.S.

Raising prices isn't gonna help clear out stock, some of which have been on shelves since earlier this year. Both Hasbro and the major retailers need to get their act together because its only going to get worse from here on out. If they're going to keep raising prices then maybe it would be fair if the brand were more marketed to the older crowd, because I seriously doubt many parents are going to be spending 20+ on a figure that's not only smaller and with lesser paint apps but of lesser quality compared to earlier and cheaper ones. I'm really fearing for this brand now.

There are some fans who will keep buying because if fans will pay 3rd party prices and collector club exclusive prices then there are some fans who will pay almost any price for one more thing for their collection.

But the question is what will be the breaking point for parents? Since every family isn't lucky enough to have a nearly unlimited budget at some point parents will have to start saying sorry junior that's just too much.

I think price might also be one of the reason why Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles seem to be flying off some Wal-Mart shelves at $8.88 per figure while the Hasbro action figures just aren't moving as quickly. Hasbro products start to look over priced when a competitor can undercut them on price.

do 3rd party and collector club exclusives cost that much to make or are they just exploiting us collectors?

he's such an ugly figure. i just want takara to start selling to usa instead of hasbro. then i won't have to pay to import figures that are 10000000x better than the overpriced hasbro pieces of shit.

Kind of surprises me that TRU was one of the last to raise deluxes to the above $15 price range.

As for the MP Prime going up to $129.99....I have MP Soundwave locked in at BBTS for $159.99. If and by the time he comes out in the US, he's liable to be just as expensive if not more.

if you preorder at an online store, does that lock in the price?
