I have to say that I think that a Trypticon re-issue is likelier than a Scorponok one. The mold has been used in BW2, and there have been alot of baseformers that have been reissued in the encore line (Omega supreme, Metroplex, Fortress Maximus) Although, a re-issue of Grand Maximus almost seem inevitable now (here's hoping)

The member here that first put Fort Max out there as coming out next also said that from what he had heard, Grand Max, Scorponok and Black Zarak were also forthcoming along with other Headmasters.

As for the status of molds, honestly any past statement about what molds are still usable or not is hearsay at this point because many (all?) of those statements are coming up on 10 years old. A lot can change since then regarding Takara's ability to reissue certain things and their willingness to reissue certain things. At this point, though I'm not assuming anything by any means, I'm not writing anything off either. We're getting Fort Max! That's a huge game changer in terms of future of the reissue market.

Agreed, I'm not saying that we won't get a trypticon because I'm pretty sure we will just not right away because he did get re-molded for BW2 line, Metroplex didnt I guess that is why he got re issued first. In terms of Re-issue's coming up though in thier mindset I think it has to be something they know is going to sell amazingly well, Hence Fortress Maximus. I don't think grand maximus will come out right away or at all, kind of like the soundwave/sound blaster release. I am hoping that scorponok is the next one because it seems like they are re-issuing all the G1's that are hard to aquire due to cost. Another reason I beleive they will is if it is molds were talking about Fortress maximus was one of the last molds they did for g1 based on the american cartoon series, if they have his I guarantee they will have scorponok's.

Alot of people are already upset because they think if that guy gets re-issued then my original g1 is worthless. Not really because it is still an original g1 and if they are really upset, then thier probably victim to paying outrageous prices for the guy.

So I take it we are still waiting for Official reissues of:
    1984:
    Sunstreaker (no mold)
    Mirage (no mold)
    1985:
    Dinobots
    Roadbuster (not takara)
    Whirl (not takara)
Topspin & Twintwist (would be good as a 2-pack, though not very hard to get hold of)
Power Dasher & Omnibot (box set?)
Deluxe Insecticons (I guess only if Bandai do one)
Shockwave (not Takara and everyone is making him)
    1986:
    Blurr
    Wreck-Gar
    Sandstorm
    Springer
    Broadside
    Gnaw
    Octane
    Scourge
    Cyclonus
    Runabout & Runamuck
    Trypticon
& Pretty much everything from 1987 onwards except Power Master Optimus Prime, Sixshot and Fortress Maximus

I would like to see Hasbro reissue Brainstorm (if I had to pick one of the normal sized headmasters)

To be fair, not all of the minibots have been reissued. We still haven't seen:

    Beachcomber
    Seaspray
    Hubcap
    Bumper
    Cliffjumper (non-keychain version)
    Brawn (non-keychain version)
    Windcharger (non-keychain version)

Some of those listed had a aniversary re issue and encore re release I remember seeing them at toys r us when I was in my mid teens. They do deserve re issues, but thier are g1's that should be getting them first as the more popular characters that more people are familiar with would be better off coming out first in terms of sales.
yea I would agree on a re issue on missing ones but not ones that already had it.

I'd buy a Scorponok reissue. Too bad the original was so damn small to Fortress Maximus.

Not that I have any insight into Takara's thought processes, but it looks to me like they're releasing Encores based on the Japanese cartoon lines (Headmasters with Soundblaster, Twincast, FM, possibly Scorp), and possibly Masterforce (GM? BZ?). So I would guess that Headmaster and Godmaster toys will be coming down the pipeline, especially with Shout Factory's recent releases of HM, Masterforce, and Victory DVDs with new subs.

Said it before, saying it again: Metrotitan encore or GTFO. Seriously, if they want instant sells, they need to hit the hard to find stuff. I should take a poll to show how many people here would buy a reissue blue Bluestreak, if not some of the harder to find ones. Also a yellow Trailbreaker would be nice as well...

hard to come by toys dont always = much money.

Star Convoy, Stepper to name a few.

Ppl are quik to say I want this and that but then when it comes it is always the same thing, I wait on clearenc or how can it cost so much damn you TT.

It is the ppl who wants the hard to comy by stuff but dont want to pay for it that usually cries the hardest with posts and wants from TT and hopefully get them reissued.

On the scorpy issuee, sure good for ppl who dont own one..I have a boxed one and with the current price some of them go for these days I understand some ppl want a reissue.

Very good points, almost forgot about those guys. Hell, Trailbreaker would be a good example to counter my point.

At this stage, I'd just get whatever reissues they want to put out, unless I got it already. No preference here.

Except blue Bluestreak Encore, Generations, AND Legion class.

Well to be honest, I'd love a Metrotitan reissue, but I just like the color scheme.

I think Takara is taking a pretty big risk with Fort Max - Stepper and Star Convoy were neither anywhere near as pricey as Fort Max, so while Fort Max is much better known than either of those, it's price point still leaves a lot of people thinking "I'd love that, but I can't justify that kind of money for a toy" - but to be honest, those kind of people probably don't buy Japanese reissues to begin with.

It really depends on how well Fort Max will sell. If he sells really well, then we can probably expect future reissues for a lot of the other big bots like Scorponok and Overlord - if his sales numbers only match their expectations, then I reckon we might at least get Victory Saber in the future, considering the Japanese love of Autobots (and the several Star Saber homages they've made lately). If he sells badly...well, this whole discussion will be rendered moot.

Yes it should even though I have 1 that is almost complete. I think it should be cause he is the bad guy to Fort Max.

I have a complete vintage G1 Scorponok in great condition, so I can't see buying a reissue myself, but it's a really cool figure and I hope they do reissue it so everyone who wants one can have an easier way to acquire it.
