Just saw this on TRU, not sure if its been posted before and I am well aware that other places are cheaper as I have a pre-order at BBTS.

I noticed it says "1 per customer" on their site.  

 

Most Walmarts I've seen that have Sandstorm have gotten at least 2 cases of him.

 

This. The current ratio on display at my Wal-Mart (SC) is '1 Springer, 2 Blitzwing, 30 Sandstorm'.

 

Yet, here all I've come across is Blitzwing and Springer...no Sandstorms. I really don't understand why the stores in my area always seem to be months behind in Transformers distribution.

 

What part of SC are U in?!? Both my Walmart & Target have a hard time stocking any generations voyagers. Tho luckily I found Springer & Blitzwing on amazon for retail price w/ free shipping, but I do want Sandstorm.

 

Do we know what time these go on sale at TRU.com? I'm also going to comic con and supposedly they will be selling both there. I've never been before, would it be best to just try getting it online? Been on the fence about this. Any advice would be appreciated

 

I was going to wait up and get this as well, but being in Canada they want $60 to ship it here. That's insane! Amazon would charge max $20-$25 and even then that's expensive. Metroplex, shipped, on Amazon is $50 but at least he's huge and that covers import fees.

I hate cross-border shipping expenses. Ridiculous. Gah!

 

Several pages back it was stated mp Soundwave & Acid Storm would go on sale 9am est on July 18th.

 

TRU has information on Soundwave up now. They are claiming it's a convention exclusive now... Comic Convention Toys, Action Figures, Transformers Masterpiece, Walking Dead

Also, my Local TRU refuses to stock Masterpiece figures... Argh.

 

Doesn't look like it's claiming it as a con exclusive. The wording might seem tricky, but it states they're tru exclusives available at the convention.

Without trying to help the scalpers/lurkers of the audience, I will say prepare today and make sure your account, address and payment information is in order before tomorrow. The site will probably implode in on itself, but if you're prepped, maybe there won't be as many gripers in the thread. I totally expect this to be a massive cluster, not because of buyers, scalpers, or other, but because TRU has already shown just how bad they can handle these releases. The only and I mean only good thing will be that a lot of people will be enroute tomorrow to ComicCon or already there and unable to get proper internet. Should take care of 2% of the masses.

 

Is everyone going for Soundwave? I have the Takara version so at this point I'm only going for Acid Storm. I'm hoping I can avoid this cluster fuck and pick up Acid Storm later  

 

no way am i trusting that 9 AM time, ill be up all night camping in approx 12 hours from now...

 

As long as they limit to one per person and don't let people try to cheat the system and make multiple orders, it should be ok..

 

^ More than likely it'll be two per customer, but that doesnt stop Hong Kong Fooey from using multiple accounts and addresses. I also agree with Atomatron, their 9 am will be either 2 AM or 11 AM Eastern Time US.

Staying: Yeah. I have a Takara, and I'm actually splitting a Hasbro Soundy to get the four tapes, the other board member is getting the bot and Beak. A lot of people/scalpers want the Hasbro version. He's cheaper, even though the Takara has the different visor, and comes with two other masterpiece tape sets. So expect it to be a poop storm. Poop. Seriously. The fact that the misguided Ebay sale of Wave that happened last week was 400 pieces that sold out in TEN MINUTES at TWO IN THE FRELLING MORNING should be an indicator.

 

Makes me sad.
