pics of my MP10B after painting eyes. He is a great figure that is starting to sell out at retailers so if anyone is considering him you should do so soon.

The reason is because it is an orangy gold. Out gold for paint off the shelves of hobby shops are bright or yellowish gold. Hence the miss match.

That makes sense. Now....do I repaint the whole thing? Or be lazy and just put it back together now that all the other parts have been painted and clear coated?
    I think I'll just be lazy. :D

Most gold colors are actually a clear yellow over a silver or chrome. Try Tamiya silver leaf or chrome silver and then cover it with clear yellow or a mix of clear yellow/clear orange

Finally finished the first of an ongoing series of 24x36" poster sized Masterpiece composites. The first one here featuring Bluestreak & Prowl.

The nutshell goal of these is to take the official stock/promo shots of the MP figures and re-light, texture & "de-toy" them (ie: remove the visible screws, pins, etc.) and put them in an exaggerated "real world" environment with dynamic movie/comic/game styled coloring & rendering. Haha, or in the case of THIS one, what Masterpieces might look like if thrown into a Michael Bay movie setting :)

Anyway, here's the finalized version of the poster, a shot of it printed & framed, and the original stock photos I used.

Next up: MP Soundwave with his minions.

Why couldn't the bay movies have looked like this? With easily identifiable characters that look like real transformers.

Thanks, man! Yeah, these will definitely be lining my display room :)  Thinking of offering some smaller versions of the prints for other people to do the same as well, but will probably hold off on that until they're all done.

Those look great. Is there anyway to get the original file to print.

    Thanks very much!

Thank you! I probably won't be making the original file available for downloading en mass, but likely will be making some extra prints of the set available once it's completed.

Hot damn, that's apocalyptically good. As a bit of an amateur photoshop geek, what sort of textures/effects did you use on the cars?

Not at the moment, no. These are my "limited edition of 1" babies, hehe. But as I mentioned in some other replies earlier, I might make a few more available once the set is complete.

    Thanks!

Thank you. Honestly, no easy/quick answer to what I used. Lots of layers, lots of stock and custom brushes, lots of color filters, lots of masking blends, etc. And of course, lots of trial & error.
