Nothing like a new MP or two to get you excited and rearrange your shelves. With SoundBlaster and Ratbat I decided I might have enough Decepticons to stage all out war.

Eness labels for Prowl - round 1. I still have to do the license plates/feet and decide how much more I really want to do. I tried to get the light really harsh and get the highest contrast possible to show that they really do look like paint apps - I love the dry transfers. I haven't even touched the Before&After labels that came with the launchers. I don't think I'll do the Highway Patrol ones on the top of the feet, and probably won't do the Teletraan-1 that they had for the rear fenders.

The black and white together on Prowl just looks fantastic, even though I'm rather ambivalent towards his alt mode. Smokescreen is the great all-rounder for me - great paint, great alt mode (the racing spoilers make all the difference) and great bot mode.

(I'll probably get Bluestreak at the end of this week...but I rate him beneath the other two)

Could someone post more pics of Black Convoy and YOTH Optimus together? I really like the way they look, so if I can't find a Hasbro or Takara MP-10, I may grab YOTH Optimus since I got MP-10B that should be here today or tomorrow.

All of them. That's the correct answer if you're a G1 nut. They're all amazing. They're all the same amazing mold with a few tweaks and different decos. Which one looks best to you? Which characters of the three do you like best? Prowl and Bluestreak were often paired up in the cartoon so I don't feel it'd be right to separate them. Then again, Smokescreen's head sculpt nails the G1 cartoon look and I always loved the episode "The Gambler"...

    All of them.

PS - MP Prowl has been confirmed as being a Hasbro TRU exclusive to be released later this year. Maybe get the other two now and get Prowl at TRU later.

Don't be surprised if Bluestreak vaults to the top of the list - he's probably the most impressive in-hand.

The day after I ordered my MP Prowl I heard that he was getting a Hasbro release... I don't live anywhere near a TRU so I am still happy with my Takara Prowl haha.

I gotta say, this probably the weirdest MP I'm going to add to the collection, and probably the last one I would have predicted, but eh, whatever:

I'm really shifting my focus to the Masterpiece line, and getting Sideswipe from BBTS makes me want more of these!

After looking at it for a bit, it's a bit inconsistent on certain parts. Some of the painted red parts don't completely match the red plastic. It's close, but you can see the differences when looking at it. My camera won't pick it up in the pictures.

Also, there's a tiny paint bubble on top of the car, so it does have some QC issues.

And how about the tightness of the joints? Specifically compared to your MP-12G which has the tightest joints out of the official countach releases.

When comparing the two, MP12G is still the tightest, but the joints on my MP-12 are good with no real looseness. Parts lock in pretty well too.

I think if you want to call any joint loose it would be at the elbows in robot mode. The elbow joints hold pretty well, just not as well as the MP-12G. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks! That makes perfect sense! I have the 1st run Sideswipe and while his overall tightness on the joints are decent, his elbow joint is the loosest. For example, I got the Dr. Wu diecast piledriver and when put on, his elbow will give due to the weight.

Man, this 2nd run reissue has like NO IMPROVEMENTS over the 1st run. From what I've been reading and seeing so far, it's pretty much identical.....unless someone has both runs and can really do a dissection on both.
