    Yeah TC was very very good, like the mold much much more now, and Prime?, best toy I have in my collection, just jaw dropping amazing.

    There is that but more-so (for me at least) the leg decals smack more of the G1 Hot Rod toy.

    No Wei man!! The Takara version is pure Hot Rod. My Hasbro is Rodimus, I think his colour scheme suits him better with the long face. His colour scheme is closer to G1 Rodimus prime too.

    I almost didn't buy him because so many pictures didn't do the model justice at all. His dino arms looked spindly in photos, his stomach fat and legs stuck out when they're not at all and so many reviews just stood him like the G1 cartoons. I understand why, that's how he was, like Godzilla, but the toy is capable of looking so much better when stood like a proper T-rex. I see the MPs as modelled on G1 but how they are meant to be now too. This Grimlock looks seriously cool - more like the WFC Grimlock than the doofus G1 cartoon version.

    They made some silly technical decisions to fit in gimmicks - which they now appear to have done away with in the MP line thankfully - but they don't takeaway from the brilliance of the figure.

    Basically, you made the right decision to order him :D

    I can see that. But I give more weight to the maroon of the US release matching Prime and the lighter pink of the JP being Hot Rod. :)

    My Masterpiece figures currently live with my Binaltechs. My primary collection is G1 though and I'm thinking about selling my Binaltechs and using the money to buy more G1. Another factor in this decision is that Takara is going to be making MP cars. Note - I moved Predaking over with my G1 figures after taking this.
