Yeah it's pretty impressive. Those pegs of deluxes don't look like much until you get close and notice they're all like 8 figures deep :lol

I grabbed my MP Thundercracker last month and the cashier was telling me they had just put them out that day :lol . Oh, they had a nice large Optimus statue here too

Nice. TRU Times Square NYC was where a friend hooked me up with an MP TC v2, with the $10 off coupon deal and before the price hike. Really wish the TRUs in San Antonio were like this one. It's a wasteland out here (thanks to scalpers, apparently) and I've had more luck finding new TF stuff at HEBs, a brand of local Texas supermarkets, than I have at TRU.

It's a really cool idea (and quite frankly, an ideal place to put something like this) but the proportions in person are pretty terrible :lol . IF TRU was selling it, I'd still rather pick up one of those 2-3' statues with light up eyes for the $3-4k or whatever it goes for on BBTS :lol

    (Last I checked):
Price of a Big Mac in NC: $3.80
Price of a Big Mac in NY: $4.25
Price of a Big Mac in Times Square: $5.80

As an Ex-New Yorker, the best thing to do with a Times Square burger is use the grease for the inevitable fisting.

My tru display looks like a dollar general compared to this. I'd be so tempted to take a thundercracker from the bottom of that stack ... Jenga anyone?

Yeah I just meant past tense since I was there a month ago  . I was relatively sure it would still be up but I really couldn't commit to it because who knows how often they cycle that stuff out there.

As for the t-rex.... yeah that's not going anywhere any time soon :lol  :lol

    BWAAHAHAHAHAHA - sigged.

Seriously though, for how awesome that store is inside, it's worth the few extra bucks. The Lego models of he NYC skyscrapers are fantastic.

Also, I never buy anything there anyway, I just go to see it, and buy what I want at my local store at a reasonable price.

someone....anyone can you provide identifier information for this Masterpiece Optimus prime figure at TRU? SKU # or actual title of the figure. Masterpiece Optimus Prime when calling doesn't seem to identify him with TRU workers.

Any one? Help? I need my MP-10!

its just city prices and if you go online and the "LIST" price is lower then the instore price then they can match it for you

lmao well our section is like about 25 feet long and about 20 feet tall, we even have a 10 foot tall optimus prime statue lol so yeah ours is pretty huge

the rent down on times square is nuts being that that area is so huge in money making so i mean it would only make sense to boost the rent in that area. so to compensate TRU has to boost up prices, does it suck? big time lol but as a new yorker you just gotta suck it up
same thing like a bottle water from down town ($3.00) VS a bottle of water uptown ($1.00)

That's BS. I was in my local TRU today and they scanned the barcode and it came right up. They had sold 2 earlier in the week, no new ones on order yet.

i can not speak for any other TRU but the Times Square store which is why this thread is about the times square store. i don't know what your TRU has and i have no access to their inventory so with that i cant say anything.

I work for the company too, and that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If they took him out of the system, people would be unable to buy him, because no price would ring up at the register. And since the system is country-wide, if he was taken out of one system, he'd have to be taken out of all of the systems.

With the least amount of hostility possible, I'm going to have to say you're full of shit. But your username deserves at least some of my respect.

Keeping an eye on this because I'm heading down to NYC myself for my honeymoon in a week. Though to be honest I'm more keen on finding out whether or not they have that prime Entertainment Pack.
